Chapter 174 Office Politics
Lira Voss’s POV:

He pressed his forehead to mine, voice low and rough. “I regret it. I should’ve just locked you away forever so you’d only be mine.”
I couldn’t help laughing at how sulky he sounded.
Ever since I woke up this man had been glued to me. Nothing like the cold, ruthless Alpha King everyone else saw.
I smiled sweetly. “Kael, did I ever tell you how glad I am that I met you?”
He knew exactly how much he’d done for me these past two years. I wasn’t going to make him unhappy.
His fingers brushed my cheek. “Same. Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me.”
He sat up straight. “Go on. Call me when you’re done and I’ll come get you.”
I nodded, gave him a quick kiss, and got out of the car.
The moment I stepped into Four Seasons Group I could feel the difference. The place was full of high- rank werewolf energy now. Business had clearly exploded.
The company’s scale and influence had grown bigger every single day, and the entrance was always busy with partners from every pack coming and going.
I’d barely made it through the doors when the receptionist came over. “Hello, who are you here to see?” “I’m looking for Mr. Watkins,” I said, watching the receptionist walk over. I’d been about to call Serena directly, but then I changed my mind. After being gone for two years, I figured it was a good chance to see how things were really running,
“Do you have an appointment?” the receptionist asked.
“No,” I answered flatly.
“I’m sorry, without an appointment, I can’t let you up.”
“Then call him and tell him someone named Krom is here. He’ll want to see me.”
The receptionist gave me a dismissive once–over. “I’m really sorry, but Mr. Watkins’s schedule is completely full today. He doesn’t have time for every random low–rank Omega who walks in. This isn’t some charity office.”
I smiled coldly. “Oh? Then why don’t you tell me what kind of place this is? And why exactly a low–rank Omega can’t see him?”
She kept her arrogant tone. “This is Four Seasons Group. Do you think the CEO has time to meet every person who shows up?

Our clients are all pack elites and high–rank werewolves. Someone like you? You’d be lucky to get a job mopping floors here”
She pointed toward a group walking in. “See that woman in the middle? That’s Isla Bennett. Huge star. Alpha’s daughter from Starlight Pack. That’s the kind of person Mr. Watkins actually meets. You should leave”
She immediately switched to a fake sweet smile and hurried over to Isla.
I just stood there watching, shaking my head.
No matter how big a company gets, there’s always someone like this. If Four Seasons keeps growing, employee attitude is going to be my first project.
I stayed where I was and observed.
The receptionist reached Isla, all smiles. “Miss Bennett! Are you here to see Mr. Watkins?”
