Chapter 193 The Mask of Innocence
Isla Bennett’s POV:
How could I forget her? The low-rank Omega who made me look like a fool at the Four Seasons building, only to be escorted out like a VIP by their directors. What is she doing here? And why is she with Mr.
Thorne?
Seeing Mr. Thorne treat me like garbage and then turn to this Omega with such tender, protective eyes….it was a slap in the face.
I guess I know how she got into the Four Seasons inner circle now. She’s a high-end gold digger. No wonder she’s so arrogant.
Lira Voss’s POV:
I turned to Isla, my face a mask of faux realization. “Oh, it’s the movie star. What a small world. I didn’t expect to see you here.”
I glanced at Kael, my voice playful but sharp. “Kael, do you know Miss Bennett?”
Kael reached out and pinched my cheek gently. “What are you thinking? Handling one brat like you takes all the energy I’ve got. I don’t have time for anyone else.”
I nodded thoughtfully. “Good to know. I thought you two were friends. I had a bit of a… disagreement with her at my office last time, but I should probably thank her for her ‘advice.””
Isla’s face contorted. Her eyes flared with a wolfish light, her claws twitching as if she wanted to shred me right there, but she held herself back because of Kael. Watching her squirm felt incredible.
Ruby looked at Isla’s furious expression, confused. “Isla? You know her?”
Based on Ruby’s face, she had zero clue who I was.
It made sense. Before I escaped the Brookstone Pack, I was a broken, malnourished mess. After two years in the Hidmoon Pack, the awakening of my twin souls, and Kael’s resources, my appearance, my scent, and my aura had transformed completely.
I was a different person.
Isla forced a smile. “We had a misunderstanding at the Four Seasons Group. I was just giving her some well-meaning advice.
“The entertainment industry looks glamorous, but it’s full of darkness. I just thought, since she’s so young and a low-rank Omega, she’d get chewed up and spit out. I was trying to protect her.”
I laughed, the sound cold and sharp. “Is that so? Thank you, Miss Bennett. I suppose you had to survive a lot of that ‘darkness’ yourself to reach your current status. Your words are truly heartfelt.”
Isla’s eyes welled up with tears instantly. “You shouldn’t say things like that. I’m only putting up with your

insults because of Mr. Thorne. Please, watch your tongue”
Pintshred
She was a natural actress in three sentences, she’d turned herself into the noble, long-suffering victim and made me out to be a spiteful brat.
I looked at Kael with an innocent pout. “Kael? Did I say something wrong?”
