Chapter 34 The Mystery Boss Shows Up
Lira’s POV:
Gotta be real–it was way too easy for this guy to mess with
my
head.
To me, he was hot as hell, but also dangerous as all get–out.

Once I got outta the car, I practically bolted.
My mind was all over the place. I found an empty side street, let Victoria’s power loose, and booked it the whole way.
I didn’t finally chill out a little till I got to the company.
Employees were coming and going nonstop.
Since Four Seasons Group’s main gigs were locked in, Serena and Travis had kicked the project into high gear. With them in charge, the whole building was running like clockwork.
I walked in and was about to hit the elevators when the front desk girl stopped me. “Hey there, miss–who are you here to see?”
I didn’t answer her. Instead, I glanced over at Serena and Travis, who were walking toward me grinning.
I joked with them. “You hired a good one–she’s got a solid work ethic. Keep it up.”
With the front desk girl staring at us, totally confused, the three of us headed for the CEO’s private elevator.
I scanned my fingerprint, the doors slid open, and I stepped right in.
I heard the front desk girl whisper in shock behind me, “Is that Omega the mysterious boss everyone’s chatting about?!”
The three of us looked at each other, then shook our heads and chuckled.
We went straight to the top floor. As soon as I walked into the office, Travis hauled over a stack of files.
He teased, “Boss, you’re slacking as a figurehead. You don’t gotta be here daily, but you should pop in more often.
“The employees are dying to know about you. Besides that front desk chick, I heard the secretaries gossiping about you right after I left my office.”
After he said that, he plopped the pile of files on my desk.
I ignored his joke, glanced at the files, and asked, “Where’s Serena?”
“She went to the construction site. The pharma factory’s almost finished, so Serena’s been checking on it nonstop. We got most of the staff hired here, so we gotta pick up the pace over there.”

Travis answered smoothly, then pointed to the files. “These are our real estate projects, plus the new artists we just signed for the entertainment side.
“I signed those art school kids you told me about. We haven’t got any A–listers yet, but I figured we should build up the ones we have first.”
I picked up the files, flipped through them, and fixed the messed–up parts as I went.
After a couple minutes, I noticed Travis had gone quiet. I looked up and said, “Keep going.”
Then I went back to what I was doing.
Travis stared at the thick stack of files I’d already pushed aside, bug–eyed. “You finished all these already?!”
I glanced at the ones I’d knocked out, nodded like it was nothing./Yeah, I’m done. Forgot to tell you–I’ve had a photographic memory since I was a kid.”
As a high–level werewolf with a badass wolf spirit like Victoria, plus years of training with Enid at Hidmoon Pack, this was a piece of cake for me.
I just made up the “talent” lie so he wouldn’t get weirded out.
After I said that, I set one more finished file aside.
Travis looked at the file, then at me, swallowed hard, and stared at me with total awe. “Alright, then I’ll keep going.
“A few directors hit us up for investments–some movies, some TV shows–but we haven’t locked anything down yet.
“Also, that friend I told you about–when do you think you can meet him? It’ll get the entertainment company on track faster. I’m good at investing, but I don’t know jack about the entertainment biz.”
I thought about it—I still had time. So I said, “Tell him to swing by now. We’ll wrap this up this morning!”
Travis pulled out his phone right away and called his friend.
A minute later, I looked up, thought for a sec, and said, “Travis, split off the financial investment department. Make it its own company–I’m gonna zero in on that.”
I needed a sector that made cash fast, to get enough dough to buy food and meds for the Hidmoon Pack.
