Chapter 37 Healing the Elder
Lira’s POV:
“Lira, you finally got here.”
Bruce walked out, supported by his butler.

I looked at him and smiled. “Elder Cox, just hearing your voice, I can tell you’ve been feeling great lately.”
Bruce let out a big laugh when he heard that. “You’re such a sweet kid. But with you saying that, I can finally relax.”
Then the three of us walked into the house.
I started checking on Bruce.
A few minutes later, I finished the check. Bruce asked, nervous as can be, “How’d it go?”
I smiled. “No big deal. It’s mostly an old wound from when your wolf spirit got hurt bad when you were young. It turned into a stubborn problem over time.
“But just keep a happy mood. I promise, you’ll be almost fully better in less than a month. So don’t stress.”
“Really?” he asked, all excited.
I nodded, dead serious.
Reginald, standing right next to him, looked happy too.
We went to the bedroom they had set up. I told Bruce to lie flat on the bed, took off his shirt, and pulled medical ice needles out of my medical bag.
From my research these past few weeks, I found that ice needles could send the power of my strong wolf spirit, Victoria, into the patient’s body.
It made all their body functions feel young again. Most importantly, it could fix damage to their wolf spirit.
That discovery made me so happy I could barely contain it.
Now, I could test it out on Bruce’s body.
I slowly stuck the ice needles into the right acupuncture points on his body.
As I put the needles in, black blood just kept coming out.
Half an hour later, no more black blood came out. I pulled the ice needles out one by one, cleaned and disinfected them, then put them back in the medical bag.
Bruce opened his eyes slowly.

I asked softly, “How do you feel right now?”
Finished
He nodded, a little weak. “Really good. I haven’t felt this relaxed in ages.” Then he closed his eyes again slowly.
Reginald saw that and hurried over to ask me, “What’s wrong with him?”
I smiled and explained, “He’s asleep. He hasn’t gotten good, solid sleep in a long time, so his body and mind have been worn out nonstop.
“Now that I fixed his wolf spirit energy and healed his stubborn problem, his whole body feels totally relaxed. He must be exhausted. Let him rest for two days, and he’ll be back to normal for sure.”
Reginald felt a lot better after hearing that.
We walked out of the bedroom together.
Reginald wanted me to stay for dinner, but I turned him down, saying I had stuff to do.
Recently, I found out by chance that the ring my mom left me could take me to another space.
There, I could let Victoria’s and Lily’s energy out all the way, and they could help me with all my research.
I had to make time to go there more often, to figure out everything this space could do…
Reginald didn’t push me to stay when he saw I meant it.
When I got back to my place, I was about to go into the space to make medicine when the doorbell rang.
I opened the door, and Serena walked in with a bunch of groceries.
“Lira, I’ve been swamped lately. I haven’t had time to check on you. So I bought you some groceries. Make yourself a real meal when you get a chance.” She put the groceries into the fridge after she said that.
“Serena, I’m old enough to take care of myself.” I followed her and smiled.
Serena finished putting away the groceries, turned to me, and frowned playfully. “You little troublemaker, don’t think I don’t know you. When you work, you forget to eat and sleep. I sometimes wonder how grew up healthy at all.”

Then she walked to the lounge area in the living room. “Oh, Travis told me about the research institute. Don’t worry about that–I’m keeping an eye out for it. I’ll let you know if I find a good one.
“Also, the pharmaceutical factory is almost finished. Come take a look when you have time, to see if anything needs fixing.”
I walked to the bar, made her a glass of milk, and set it in front of her. “Drink some milk, it’ll help you wind down.”
Then I walked to the other side, sat down, and picked up a pillow to hug.
Serena picked up the milk, took a slow sip, then popped out her wolf ears in surprise and happiness, gushing. “Lira, I don’t know why, but lately, everything you make–meals, fruit, even this milk drink-

tastes extra special and sweet! And after drinking it, I feel so energized.”
She even licked the milk off her lips after she said that.
I just smiled and didn’t say a word.

I couldn’t explain it to her yet: all the drinks and food I gave her lately had been improved by me in the
space.
In that space, all my energy got cranked up hundreds of times. It was like there was magic there that made everything I brought in better.
Even my two wolf spirits, Lily and Victoria, felt super comfy every time we went there, and their energy
got way stronger.
I pulled myself back to reality and smiled at her. “Drink more if you like it.
“Oh, have you met Rodney? He’s in charge of the entertainment company now. I told Travis to split off the financial investment department–it needs someone to focus on it full time, and Travis is perfect for the job.”
Serena set down her glass and answered calmly, “I met him. Travis told me the basics. But let me tell you, Rodney is really talented.
“He finished handing over work with Travis in half a day. He even got several entertainment projects moving, assigned tasks, and reorganized the department without wasting any time.”
