Chapter 38 The Popular Crowd Returns

Lira’s POV:

As soon as that thought hit me, I teleported into the space.

Right when I stepped in, a white blur came charging at me, sounding all upset. “Mom, why’d you take so long? I’m bored out of my mind! Having to watch this stupid mosquito all day is driving me up the wall.”

Right after that, Blue flew over, totally ticked off. “You’re the stupid mosquito! Boss, this little fox whines about being bored nonstop. He says he needs more room to run free, and that you’re wasting his talent by keeping him locked up here.”

“You’re the mosquito!” Sun shot back, not backing down one bit.

“No, you are!”

I watched the two bicker, shook my head with a smile, and left them to it. I headed straight for the lab.

This lab was the first cool thing I found when I got to the space.

It had every tool I needed for experiments, all the newest machines around.

I sorted out the materials I needed, then got to making medicine. Four Seasons Pharmaceuticals was already up and running. Next, I had to make our main products. Only top–notch products could help us make a name for ourselves in the market.

Over the next few days, when I wasn’t at school, I holed up in the space working on medicine…

The next morning, I walked up to the school gate and saw it was packed tight. Werewolf scents of all levels were all mixed together.

Some people held banners, some held small flags, and some held photos. Everyone kept staring down the road, like they were waiting for someone, and chattered up a storm…

“Why aren’t they here yet? My ideal guys!”

“Oh my god, they’re finally back!”

“Barbara’s back too!”

“Yeah, now that Barbara’s back, that Lira doesn’t stand a chance.”

“Either way, I just care that my guys are back.”

“Wonder if they got even hotter after coming back from the Maynard Continent.”

I listened to their chatter and could pretty much guess what was going on.

When I first got here, I heard there were a few popular kids at this school. They went to a top werewolf academy on the Maynard Continent for an exchange a while back.

These people had to be waiting for them.

I was about to step into the school when I heard someone yell, “Lira! Lira!”

I picked up Laura’s scent easily, even with all the other mess.

I looked up and saw her pushing her way through the crowd toward me.

And her shout made me the center of attention in seconds.

Laura looked super hyped. “Lira, my crush is back!”

‘Crush?” I asked, smiling at her starry–eyed face. “Which one are you hooked on now? Spill.”

Laura opened her mouth to talk, but the crowd suddenly went nuts!

Screams and shouts got louder and louder as the roar of sports cars came closer from down the road.

“Michael!”

“Ethan!”

“Goddess Barbara, our prom queen!”

“Jason!”
