Chapter 52 Hidden Strength
Lira’s POV:
“Oh? What’s up?” I asked, raising an eyebrow and side–eyeing him.
“I can tell–you’re way more capable than a regular Omega. You’re hiding something, for sure.

“I don’t care why you’re keeping a low profile and hiding your real rank or strength. I just hope–if the Brewer family ever gets in trouble later, you’ll help us out.
“Rick’s bad news. He’s smart, but he uses it for crap. And he’s a total snake. That’s why I’m scared- someday, he might drag our whole family down.”
I looked at him, raised an eyebrow, and said, “You’re one, sneaky old man, huh? Nobody’s ever dared play me like this. And why are you so sure I’ll help the Brewer family later?”
Paul just smiled and kept quiet.
I didn’t argue with him anymore. I pulled a medicine bottle out of my bag and handed it to him. “This is my own medicine. You need to get better fast. Your family’s mess? You deal with it.
“You fixed it this time, so I’ll let it go. But I can’t promise I’ll go easy on them next time. And that twenty percent of the shares? You should rethink it.”
With that, I left right away. I picked up Sun, turned around, and headed for the door.
When I walked downstairs, everyone was gone. I stepped out of the main house, and a strong but weird vibe came up. Lily tensed up right away–she looked scared, just like she does around high–rank werewolves.
Right after that, a Ferrari pulled up slowly in front of me.
The window rolled down, and a handsome guy’s face showed up. He spoke softly. “Ms. Krom, I’m Michael Brewer. Let me give you a ride home.”
I recognized him right away. He was one of the popular guys at school–the one who made a scene at the gate that day.
I never thought he’d be from the Brewer family.
I thought about the Brewer family mess–he was the only one who came out winning. That told me he wasn’t as simple as he seemed.
He had to want something from me. I thought for a sec, then got in the car. Free ride? Why pass it up?
Michael focused on driving, but every so often, he’d glance at me. His look was tricky, like a fox.
He smiled softly and said, “Ms. Krom, thanks a ton for saving my grandpa. And thanks for not going after my dad and aunt.
“I know you let it go because of my grandpa. But I still wanted to say thanks.”

I spoke flatly. “No need. Your grandpa kicked them out–that’s good enough. But if they mess with me again, don’t say I didn’t warn you. I’ll settle this time’s score too. And when I do, I won’t show mercy.”
Michael didn’t look surprised at all. It was like he never thought I was just an Omega faking it or lying.
But he dropped the subject. Instead, he just stared at me.
His intense stare annoyed me and made me awkward. I rolled my eyes and looked away, ticked off.
It was the weekend, so I wanted to hit the mall to buy stuff for Sun. So I told Michael to drop me off at the downtown mall.
We didn’t say a word the whole drive. The car got to the mall quickly.
Michael looked at me and said softly, “If you ever need help at school–anytime, just come find me.”
I didn’t answer. I unbuckled my seatbelt, got out, and walked straight into the mall without stopping.
Guys like Michael? I figured the farther away, the better.
Sure, he’d be the next Brewer family head–he could hook me up with connections if I needed. But he was also a popular guy at school, with tons of fans.
