Chapter 58 The New Team
Third–Person Perspective:
Inside Four Seasons Group…
Finished
A few young people sat in the meeting room, looking kind of on edge. You could tell right off the bat they were all totally different, just by how they dressed.
Some dressed super loud, some, plain and boring, and one looked like a total nerd. This group would’ve seemed odd no matter where you stuck them.
But one thing was for sure–they were all pure–blood high–rank werewolves.
A short–haired girl, popping a lollipop in her mouth, said, “So, what do you guys think the chairman of Four Seasons Group is like?”
Another guy with a buzz cut said, “Beats me. Ms. Barnes only said we’d find out when we got here. My guess? A pure–blood noble high–rank werewolf descendant. Probably real old–like a geezer. C’mon, a huge group like this needs loads of cash and connections to keep going.”
Some of them nodded, totally on board. But others disagreed. “Who says it’s gotta be an old man? Could be a rich lady too.”
The girl with the lollipop shrugged. “Who gives a crap what they’re like? As long as I can do my experiments, I’m good.”
Everyone nodded along, agreeing with her.
A minute later, the meeting room door opened.
Serena walked in, with a young girl right behind her.
All six of them froze up.
The girl had long, thick hair glowing with a faint blue light. Her pretty features already looked breathtaking–like a dream. Her eyes were as clear and bright as stars.
But her scent? She was just a low–rank Omega.
They all stared at her, totally confused.
Lira’s POV:
I looked at the group, all with that deer–in–headlights look. I smiled softly. “No need to be on edge. Take a
seat.”
Everyone sat down.
Serena spoke quietly. “First, let me introduce you. This is Lira Krom–she’s the chairman of Four Seasons Group.”

As soon as Serena finished, everyone stared at me, wide–eyed and shocked.
“Are you messing with us?”
One of them blurted it out.
The rest just kept staring, looking totally dumbfounded.

I smiled and said nothing. Serena smiled too, glancing around the room. She said firmly, “I’m not messing with you. Ms. Krom really is the chairman of Four Seasons Group.
“I’m sure you’ll all be impressed by her once you get to know her.”
Everyone looked at each other, but no one said a word.
Serena started introducing the researchers on the team to me one by one.
She was about to introduce the short–haired girl when the girl cut in, turning to me. “Hi! I’m Candy. I know I look kinda like a guy, but I love sweet stuff–so they call me Candy. Nice to meet you!”
With that, she held out her hand to me, super friendly.
“Don’t mind her. She turns into a total motormouth whenever she sees a pretty girl.” A slightly more mature guy next to her pulled Candy’s hand back.
“Let go! She’s around our age–why be such a stick–in–the–mud? We’re all young; we gotta have some energy!”
She glared at him and yanked her hand free.
I looked at these guys, all so different from each other, and couldn’t help but smile. Seems like this was gonna be a really fun team.
“Hi everyone, I’m Lira Krom. Serena already filled me in on all of you. I’m really glad to meet you today.
“I love the energy you all bring. So welcome to Four Seasons Group. I hope you can do even better in medical research.”
I’d already seen all their files and was really happy with what I saw.
Meeting them in person, I liked their easy, fun vibe even more.
The way they got along reminded me of my friends back in the Hidmoon Pack.
Then Serena handed them the contracts. She said, “Here are the contracts. Take a look. If you got questions, we can talk. Once you’re sure it’s all good, sign them–and they’ll be official.”
Everyone read the contracts carefully. Then they all stared at me, shocked.
“You sure this is our contract? The pay’s way higher than normal!”
“Yep, you’re worth it. Besides, Four Seasons Group and our whole werewolf clan really need researchers like you. So trust yourselves.” I nodded, smiling softly.

“Whoa! You’re awesome!” Candy cheered, perking up her wolf ears and jumping to clap.
Her lively, carefree personality rubbed off on me, and I smiled for real.
These guys were actually really simple. Their heads were all in scientific research, so they had no real drama. Hanging out with them would be easy.
They signed the contracts fast. They were in a rush to check out the pharmaceutical factory, so I told Serena to take them first.
I went back to my office, stood by the floor–to–ceiling window, and looked out at the clouds swirling below -like everything was right under my feet.
I thought back to a few years ago, at the Brookstone Pack. Back then, I was just an Omega who got picked on all the time.
Everything now felt like a dream.
Four Seasons Group was slowly getting on track. When the time was right, I’d head back to the Brookstone Pack to “pay a little visit” to my dad and stepmom…
