Chapter 73 The Abandoned Factory Confrontation

Lira’s POV:

A minute later, the car slowed to a stop. I kept letting Victoria scope out the area around us.

She told me this was an abandoned factory, right on the edge of the Silverwhip Pack. There were messy scents from tons of criminal lone werewolves nearby.

A guy in black reached for me, but I snapped coldly, “If you move your hand one more inch, I can’t promise it’ll still be attached!”

My voice and vibe totally threw him off. He forgot I was just an “Omega” and pulled his hand back quickly.

While he was frozen in his tracks, I got out of the car.

Then I followed them inside the warehouse.

“Lira, long time no see.” A familiar woman’s voice rang out in front of me.

One of the guys in black ripped the cloth off my eyes.

I opened my eyes slowly and saw Barbara staring at me with a creepy grin.

A few more guys in black stood next to her–they smelled like pro killers too.

I looked at Barbara in front of me and scoffed. “Barbara, is kidnapping the only trick you got?”

Barbara smiled and said, “Of course this trick ain’t enough for a sneaky bitch like you. But don’t worry–I got a surprise for you today!”

I crossed my arms, raised an eyebrow like I couldn’t care less, and said, “Oh yeah? Then bring it on.”

Maybe my fearlessness and “who gives a crap” attitude ticked her off. The fake smile on her face vanished right then.

She said arrogantly, “Aren’t you gonna beg for mercy? Maybe if I’m feeling nice, I’ll let you go.”

I narrowed my eyes, glared at her sideways, and smirked in disdain. “Barbara, you sure you wanna get yourself killed here today?

“You’re the daughter of the Alpha of the Cloudburst Pack. You got a bright future ahead–endless chances. But to take me down, you’d do anything, even break the most basic wolf clan rules. You think that’s worth it?”

Barbara’s face turned pitch black right away. She bared her wolf eyes and yelled at me, “Lira! I’d pay any price to make you gone! Before you showed up, everyone noticed me–at school, even in the whole Cloudburst Pack and Silverwhip Pack!

“But ever since you got here, everyone’s on your side. They only see you. Even Michael takes your side! The worst part? ‘Cause of you, Michael wants to cut me off for good!
