Chapter 82 Don’t Underestimate an Omega
Lira’s POV:
Cheryl looked totally shook, her eyes wide as she stared at me. “H… How the hell is that possible?”
Finished
I wiped my hands slowly with a towel, stood up, and sauntered over to her. I grabbed her chin with one hand, messing with her. “Mrs. Golder, you wanna keep fighting me?”
Cheryl’s eyes got big with fear. She pushed my hand away and ran upstairs, all flustered.
I stared at her back, smirking. Then I turned around and headed for Edward’s study.
“Ms. Krom, you’re pretty badass,” Francis Golder said, clapping his hands out of nowhere as he walked up to me, being snarky. “An Omega taking down my mom in just a couple moves? Color me impressed.
“You fight way better than you look.”
I glanced at him, scoffing. “If you wanna test me out, I’ll let you–no charge.”
With that, I turned around and kept walking to the study…
After a quick chat with Edward in his study, he took me to a villa at the back of the Golder Manor.
The villa’s living room was packed–Cheryl and Francis were there too.
I already knew a little about the Golder family from Enid. Edward had three sons and one daughter. His oldest, Dale Golder, and second son, Gerald Golder, were from his first Luna. His third son, Francis, was from his current Luna, Cheryl.
Dale had a son, Manuel Golder, and a daughter, Krista Golder. Gerald and his wife died in a car crash, leaving behind their son–Lance. Francis didn’t have a mate yet.
Edward looked at everyone in the room and announced flat out, “Starting today, Lira’s gonna treat Lance and Dale. All other treatments stop–no ifs, ands, or buts.”
A woman in a plain dress with a pretty face spoke up right away, giving him a hard time. “This girl’s so young, and she’s just an Omega. How can we trust her with Lance and Dale?”
I recognized her right off the bat–she was Dale’s wife, Patricia Golder.
“Yeah, Grandpa,” a young girl piped up. “She looks younger than us. How can we leave Dad’s life with some random Omega nobody knows?” Then she glared at me like I was beneath her.
I pulled her info up in my head instantly. This was Krista, Edward’s only granddaughter.
I didn’t give a crap about her dirty look.
Edward ignored her too. He turned to me and said, “Lira, it’s all on you now.”
I nodded. “Alright. Take me to the patients already.”

With that, 1 followed Edward straight to the hospital room.
Right then, Krista jumped in front of me, blocking my path.
“Grandpa, I won’t let this low–life Omega touch my dad!
“I don’t want anything else bad to happen to him! You can let her treat Lance all she wants, but not my dad!” After she said that, she glared at me angrily, popping out her wolf eyes.
Edward’s brows furrowed tight, and his face turned dark in a second.
Patricia hurried over to yank her back. She said to Edward, “Don’t be mad. Krista doesn’t mean any harm -she’s just really worried about her dad. And this girl is really young, just an Omega. It’s normal to doubt her skills.”
I looked at Patricia and Krista, then turned to Edward. “Mr. Golder, if they’re this against it, I’m sure they can find a better healer for your son. Let’s go see your grandson instead.”
