He actually thinks you’re just an Omega?Hmph. Pathetic. Victoria’s proud, cold voice sounded in my mind. With his weak senses, he can’t even detect a spirit like mine.
Yeah! Even Alpha Glenn didn’t sense you, Victoria! You’re the best! Lily chimed in, full of admiration.
I gave a small, inward sigh and focused back on the room.
The disbelief on Lonnie’s face was obvious. Just like Joshua, he clearly wasn’t taking me seriously.
They probably thought someone of Glenn’s stature would bring in a famous expert. Or at least a top graduate.
Not someone like me, an underage Omega.
“That is correct.” Glenn nodded firmly, a thread of irritation in his tone. “My trust in Ms. Krom’s skill is genuine.”
He clearly didn’t like their attitude either.
Joshua’s rudeness must have grated on him, but family ties kept his anger in check.
I ignored their scorn. I smiled faintly and spoke up at the right moment, my voice calm. “Dr. Chandler. Since you doubt my methods, why don’t you share your treatment plan?”
Lonnie seemed surprised I’d ask. Seeing me so steady, some of his disdain faded.
He launched into an explanation. “Luna’s legs suffer from post–traumatic wolf spirit atrophy. Muscle wasting, blocked nerve signals. She cannot generate the force to walk.”
He took a syringe filled with a blue liquid from his case. He held it up confidently. “This is our latest wolf spirit regenerative serum. Specifically for motor dysfunction. Clinically proven. One injection. Within 30 minutes, she will feel a marked return of sensation. Rapid recovery.”
Joshua nodded vigorously beside him. Hope flickered in the eyes of Glenn and his Luna.
Lonnie’s description of the symptoms was right. But he’d missed one crucial thing…
I smiled softly and shook my head. “You’ve got it backwards.”
Everyone stared.
“On the surface, yes, it’s a wolf spirit injury. But the root cause isn’t in her legs,” I said slowly, my gaze settling on the Luna. “It’s in her brain. Alpha, after the initial injury, did Luna have brain surgery? And after that, did she catch a chill? Or run a low fever for a long time?”
Glenn’s eyes widened. He nodded sharply. “Yes! There was a blood clot. They operated. Afterward… the care was poor. She spiked a fever. It lasted for days.”

“That explains it,” I said. “The initial trauma caused compression damage to her central nervous system. The post–op infection and fever caused lasting inflammation. Inflammatory agents have settled in the nerve pathways to her legs. This causes swelling, poor blood flow, and finally, the muscles waste away from disuse.
“In this case, your serum might briefly wake up the nerve endings. It might make her feel her legs again. But it won’t fix the core problem–the central nervous system damage, the chronic inflammation.
“To really heal her, we need to reduce the swelling in the nerves first. Block the signals that are causing the problem. Then, target the inflammation with specific medicine. Finally, careful rehabilitation to retrain the nerves. Only then can the wolf spirit energy flow properly again. Only then can the muscles rebuild. Only then can she walk.”
“Heh.” Lonnie snorted, pushing his glasses up. His eyes were full of mockery. “You’re just a child. Spouting
nonsense.
