Howl of Destiny: Alpha Lira's Legend novel Chapter 93

Chapter 93 Confession

ThirdPerson Perspective:

Krista stepped back, scared out of her wits. You can’t do this! I’m the Golder heiress!

Kael’s eyes turned icecold, full of bloodlust. He sneered, “Oh yeah? Watch me.”

C’mon. Was there anything a Lycan King wouldn’t dare do?

Cheryl was too scared to say a word. Suddenly, she threw herself at Edward’s legs, begging, Edward, it wasn’t me! It was Krista! She’s the one who planned thisshe wanted to kill Ms. Krom!

Krista never thought Cheryl would stab her in the back like this.

She glared at Cheryl, screaming, You bitch! You dared to betray me! You’re the one who gave me all the ideas! You gave me the special silver poison and the bombotherwise, I wouldn’t have known how to pull this off!

Edward’s face got darker by the second as he listened. He stared at the two women, totally disappointed, his eyes turning red. He yelled, furious, How could you be so heartless?!

What did Lira ever do to you? She saved Dale and Lancehow could you do this to her?!

Grandpa, I’m sorry! I’m so sorry! Save me! Don’t let them take me!Krista dropped to her knees in front of Edward, crying and begging.

She hadn’t been this scared before, but now she was petrified. The handsome man in front of her oozed so much power.

Plus, she could feel his intense killing intent. She didn’t even dare make eye contact with him, scared he’d turn into a wolf and tear her to shreds right there.

Patricia stood nearby, her face somber. She could figure out what had gone down.

But no matter how mad she was, Krista was her real daughter. She dropped to her knees too, begging, Please, forgive Krista! She’s still so young! It’s my faultI didn’t raise her right! Please, I’m begging you!

Kael had run out of patience.

He opened and closed his fists over and over, trying his best to hold back the urge to let Zeus take over and tear the women who’d framed Lira apart. He ordered his men coldly, What are you waiting for? Do you have to waste more time on this?

A few guys in black grabbed Krista and Cheryl right away. The two screamed for help nonstop.

Manuel hurried over to stop them. Sir, even if they did something wrong, the police should handle it. Isn’t this against the rules?

No matter how much Manuel hated Krista, she was his only sister. He couldn’t just let her die.

Kael stared at Manuel with cold eyes. He said flatly, Oh yeah? Let’s see if your little rules work on me.

With that, he turned to the guys in black. Take em away.

The guys in black dragged the two women to the car. Krista and Cheryl kept screaming for help.

Patricia watched as Krista was stuffed into the car. She tried to save her, but the guys in black grabbed her before she could even shift into her wolf form.

Kael looked at Edward, warning him coldly, If Lira’s gone for good, your whole Golder family goes with

her.

He didn’t let Edward say a wordhe got in the car right away.

Edward’s heart dropped. He could tell, from the way this man had walked into his place with so many top wolf warriors, that he definitely had the power to do what he’d threatened.

He just still had no clue who this guy really was

The search had officially ended, but Kael refused to give up. He sent more men to keep lookinghe was sure Lira was still alive.

The Thunder Pack kept bugging him to come back and handle work, but Kael ignored all of them.

He threw the papers in his hand to Gary, snapping, Tell them if they can’t handle small stuff like this, they can get out.

They searched for ten more full days, but still found nothing.

Gary stared at the man standing by the floortoceiling window. He’d never seen the Lycan King like this. For ten days, he’d only slept two or three hours a night. He’d lost a lot of weight, and Gary was scaredif they didn’t find Lira soon, Kael would lose his mind.

Your Majesty, you need to rest. You still have your duties as Lycan King! If Ms. Krom saw you like this, she’d be sad too.

Would she be sad?Kael whispered, his voice rough and hoarse.

Gary froze. It was the first time he’d ever seen Kael show even a little weakness.

Yes, sir. I’m sure Ms. Krom wouldn’t want to see you like this,Gary answered fast.

Is that right? Then why’d she put herself in danger, knowing it’d hurt me? Why’d she treat me this cruel. knowing I can’t live without her?Kael said, his voice cracking.

The thought of never seeing Lira again made it hard for him to catch his breath.

Gary looked at his lonely back and sighed. When Ms. Krom was in danger, the last person she wanted to hurt was you. She just had no other choice.

A tear slid down the corner of Kael’s eye.

After a minute, he got his cold, calm look back. He waved Gary off. Alright, get out. I’ll rest. We’re heading back to the Silverwhip Pack’s place tomorrow.
