Chapter 95 Possessive Love
Lira’s POV:
I tried my hardest to remember, even a little bit, but my head started throbbing.
Finished
Kael looked at me right away, all worried. “Don’t push it if you can’t remember. As long as you’re alive, nothing else matters.”
After he said that, he pulled me into his arms.
I leaned on him, breathing in his familiar, cozy scent. All of a sudden, my nose felt stuffy, and I whispered without thinking, “Kael, don’t be this nice to me. I’ll start wanting more.”
Kael pulled back, staring at me with deep, loving eyes. “Lira, you’re all I think about. The second I heard you got hurt, I knew how much you mean to me. Nobody in this world can hurt me–except you.
“So promise me. From now on, no matter what, put your safety first. If something happens to you, I’ll go crazy.”
I looked at his begging eyes, and my heart felt like it was being squeezed.
Ever since I met him, he never acted like the stuck–up Lycan King around me.
Instead, he got softer and nicer to me, little by little.
Turns out, there really was someone who didn’t care I was a low–rank Omega–someone who cared about me this much.
My heart felt so warm that I couldn’t find the words to say….
After I got washed up, Kael held my hand and took me to the dining room.
The table was covered with food–and every single thing was my favorite.
I sat down, and Kael reached over to brush the hair off my forehead. He said softly, “You’re still weak. You gotta eat a lot to get your strength back.”
As he spoke, he cut the steak on my plate himself.
I watched him and joked, smiling, “You don’t look like a Lycan King right now. You look more like my babysitter.”
Kael didn’t get mad at all. He tapped my nose gently, smiling softly. “You little rascal. The fact that you’re joking means you’re feeling better.”
Right then, Gary rushed in. When he saw me, his eyes got huge, like he’d seen a ghost.
He pointed at me, stuttering, “M–Ms. Krom?! You’re… you’re alive?!”
I waved and smiled. “Gary, long time no see. I’m not a ghost, I promise.”

Kael ruffled my hair again, grinning. “Silly girl.”
Then he turned to Gary. “Alright, what’s going on?”
Finished
Gary finally got himself together and said respectfully, “Your Majesty, Mr. Manuel Golder is here to see you.”
When I heard that, I froze, confused as hell.
I was still trying to figure it out when Kael’s face went dark.
His brows furrowed, his wolf eyes turning ice–cold with bloodlust. “Tell him to leave!
“And tell him to stop wasting his breath.”
I looked at him, so angry, and I had no clue why.
After Gary left, Kael’s face softened up. When he looked at me, he was as gentle as always.
“Don’t overthink it. It’s got nothing to do with you. Hurry and eat.”
I looked at him, confused. “Is it Manuel?”
I already had a pretty good idea who was behind the car crash.
After all, the only people I’d met in the Fragrance Pack were the Golder family.
So I could probably guess who did it.
“Yeah. The Golder family did this to you. I’m just making them pay for it.” Kael’s deep, sexy voice pulled me back to my senses.
When he said that, his brows were scrunched up, his face cold and scary.
I knew he was this mad because he cared about me.
I looked at him and said honestly, “Thank you.”
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t touched by everything he’d done for me. I knew he was the most powerful Lycan King in our whole Pack Alliance.
But dropping everything to come to the Fragrance Pack and find me right away–nobody else would do that.
Kael held my hand, his voice deep and rough. “Lira, never say thank you to me. I’d do anything for you, no questions asked. I don’t need your thanks. I just need you to be happy and safe.”
I didn’t mess with Kael’s decision.
After dinner, I charged my phone.
Luckily, I’d thrown my phone into my space back then–otherwise, it would’ve been totally ruined by now.

Finished
When I turned it on, more than 30 missed calls popped up. I called each one back to let them know I was okay.
“Serena, I’m fine.”
“Yeah, don’t worry. No one can hurt me.”
Thanks for handling things at the company.”
“Yeah, I’ll be back at the Silverwhip Pack tomorrow.”
“Okay, see you tomorrow night…”
I was smiling and talking to Serena when Kael suddenly snatched the phone out of my hand and hung up.
I glared at him, annoyed. “Kael, what the hell? I was talking to someone! Why’d you take my phone?”
He raised an eyebrow, staring at me with deep eyes. His voice sounded a little pouty. “Lira, all your attention should be on me. I’m way better than a phone.”
“You…” I sighed, rubbing my forehead in defeat.
This guy was getting more and more shameless by the minute.
I didn’t wanna deal with him, so I turned to leave. But Kael suddenly grabbed my hand, pulled me hard, and pulled me right into his arms.
He stared at me, grinning mischievously. “Lira, you smiled so sweetly at that person on the phone. It ticked me off.”
I couldn’t help but laugh and roll my eyes. His possessiveness was off the charts.
I wasn’t even his bonded mate yet.
I tried to pull away, but he suddenly stopped smiling and looked at me seriously. “We’re heading back to the Silverwhip Pack tomorrow. I’ll take you somewhere tonight.”
