Darion’s brows furrowed instantly, and his expression darkened. Without wasting any time, he turned the steering wheel and drove straight to Miya’s neighborhood.
When he arrived, the nanny was playing with Keith.
The little boy’s face lit up when he saw Darion. “Darry!”
He rushed toward him and was immediately scooped up into Darion’s arms.
Darion smiled softly. “How about we go play?”
“Yes!” Keith’s face broke into a wide grin, his eyes sparkling as he wrapped his arms around Darion’s neck.
Carrying Keith, Darion walked off.
The nanny hesitated for a second before calling out, “Mr. Blackburn, where are you taking Keith?”
Darion looked over at her. “Do you really think I’d sell him?”
The nanny’s face turned bright red. “No, of course not. I didn’t mean it like that.”
Darion gave her a cool glance and didn’t say another word. He just turned and walked away.
The nanny stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do, before she decided to tell Miya what had happened.
Meanwhile, Darion drove to the Blackburn Group headquarters.
He took Keith up to the CEO’s office, where the little boy’s eyes were wide with curiosity, taking in everything around him.
“Do you like it here?” Darion asked, glancing down at him.
Keith nodded enthusiastically. “I like it.”
Then, with a shy smile, he added, “I like being with you even more.”
Darion’s lips curved into a faint smile. He ordered Ryan to grab some snacks and toys, then carried the excited little one into his office.
When Miya heard the news, her face went pale. She immediately stopped what she was doing and frantically tried calling
Darion.
But no matter how many times she called, he didn’t answer.
Panicked, she rushed to her supervisor and asked to leave.
The supervisor looked at her with a stern face. “You’ve already shown up late today. You’ve barely touched your work, and the recording’s behind. Now you want to leave? Do you think this is a daycare?”
Miya, almost desperate, explained, “My son’s gone missing. I have to go find him. I’ll come back and catch up on everything

once I’ve got him.”
The supervisor sighed, clearly annoyed. ‘Fine, go.”
Miya grabbed her bag and hurried out.
As she was leaving. Thalia happened to pass by and noticed the scene. Her eyebrows raised slightly.
‘Keith’s missing? Is that brat running around again? Thalia thought with a smirk.
She looked over at the supervisor and walked over casually. “You should probably note this down. When the month-end review comes, you can mention it. Even if she was forced into this role, it’s on her if she’s slacking and holding up progress.”
The supervisor gave her a quick glance but didn’t engage. “Just go take care of your own work.”
Thalia shrugged and smiled as she walked back to her desk. For some reason, she felt a little better.
She dove back into her script, then recorded two more episodes before finally calling it a day and heading home.
Miya went straight into Blackburn Group.
When she entered the CEO’s office and saw Keith playing on the carpet, she immediately felt a huge sense of relief.
Turning to Darion, she looked at him with a sad expression and said, “Darion, didn’t I already promise you? Why are you doing this?”
She thought, ‘How could he just take Keith away without a word? He’s my son.
Darion had just finished reviewing a document when he lifted his gaze to meet hers, his eyes cold, almost as if coated with frost. “Miya, stop doing things that could be misunderstood.
“You’ve always claimed Thalia misunderstood you, and I used to believe you. But now, I’m not so sure anymore.”
Miya froze for a moment, her heart racing with panic, but she quickly composed herself. “Darion, you’re misunderstanding me. I didn’t do anything.”
Her eyes flickered, and she asked, “Did someone say something to you? I swear, you know I love your brother.”
