I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 119

Chapter 119

Thalia glanced at him coolly, her voice calm but pointed. “Did I make you wait?”

Darion walked up to her, his tone firm. “We need to talk about the earthquake.”

Thalia’s expression darkened instantly, and she stared at him, her voice sharp. “What do you mean? You don’t believe me?”

Darion gave the property manager a quick look. “You can go now.”

The manager, clearly uncomfortable, nodded hurriedly. “Right, of course.”

Turning back to Thalia, Darion asked, “Shall we talk inside?”

Thalia pressed her lips into a thin line, clearly irritated. She opened the door, feeling a wave of betrayal wash over her.

But then, a thought crept into her mind. ‘Miya must have such a high place in his heart. She says something, and he just believes it.’

Thalia walked in, her face a mask of coldness. She sat down on the couch, eyes still locked on Darion, waiting for him to speak.

Darion unlocked his phone and pulled up a video.

It was footage from Ryan’s investigation, showing a witness describing the scene during the earthquake. Ryan had shown him two pictures, and the man took his time studying them, his face clouded with thought and memory.

After a long pause, he pointed uncertainly at Miya’s photo. “It was all so chaotic, but I remember a girl rushing back and pulling a boy from under the rubble. It was so frantic, and I was scared, but that part stuck with me.”

Thalia’s grip on her phone tightened, her face darkening with disbelief. “That’s impossible!”

She turned to Darion and said, “That person must be someone Miya paid off to lie for her. She’ll do anything to get what she

wants.”

Darion sat across from her, his eyes deep as they fixed on her face. “I had someone check it out. The man doesn’t know Miya, and there’s no money involved.”

Thalia’s grip on her phone tightened, her fingers whitening with tension. Her eyes flickered, a hint of unease showing. “So, you think I’m lying? That I’ve been using this to get close to you?”

Darion didn’t answer right away, just kept his eyes on her, unblinking, his silence heavy.

Thalia’s heart felt numb, but when she saw the doubt in his eyes, that old suffocating feeling washed over her again.

‘He thinks I’ve been lying about everything. The realization hit her hard, and without thinking, she threw her phone at him.

Darion caught it effortlessly.

“Get out!” Thalia said, her voice shaking with frustration as she stood and pointed to the door.

Darion lifted an eyebrow, slightly surprised. “You’re the one who lied. What exactly are you angry about?”

The words hit her like a punch. Her last walls came crashing down.

She rushed forward. grabbing his arm and trying to shove him toward the door. “Fine. If you think I’ve been lying, then 1
