Chapter 131
Wendy glared at Darion coldly, and her words cut like a knife.
66 Wuthers
Darion’s eyes flickered over to her for a moment before settling back on Thalia. His voice came out flat. “Why are you trying to take her stuff?”
“Because I want them. Got a problem with that?” Thalia held his stare, watching him shield Miya behind his back. “Darion, we’re still married. You spent our joint assets without my permission. She has to give them back.”
Something shifted in Darion’s eyes as her words sank in. The sharp edge of his presence dulled, and for a moment, he was completely still.
His voice softened. “It’s just a pair of earrings. If you want jewelry, I’ll buy you something better.”
“I don’t want something better. I want these.” Thalia kept her eyes locked on his. “Give me the earrings.”
Miya held the box even tighter. “I can’t. I’ll give you anything else, but not these.”
Wendy scoffed, “You don’t even want the earrings. You just want to make Thalia miserable. Whatever she wants, you swoop in and take it. You’ve been pulling this since you were kids. How pathetic can you get?”
Miya stiffened. “I’ve never taken anything from her. Watch your mouth.”
“Watch my mouth? I’d rather watch you disappear,” Wendy spat, glaring daggers at her.
Miya flinched and shrank behind Darion.
Darion’s cold gaze swept over Wendy. “Didn’t last time teach you a lesson?”
Wendy’s face darkened. “You’re a real piece of work, you know that?”
Thalia stepped forward and put herself between Wendy and Darion. She stared him down. “That was the one thing my grandma always wanted, and I searched forever to find it. Darion, if you have any decency at all, give me those earrings.”
Darion frowned. He hadn’t expected that reason at all, and now he was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Miya tugged at his sleeve. “Darion.”
Thalia’s eyes snapped to her. “You picked up his phone earlier, didn’t you? You were supposed to tell him all this. Didn’t you say anything?”
Darion looked at her sharply. “You answered my phone?”
He pulled out his cell and scrolled through the call log, but there was nothing there.
Miya shook her head. “I didn’t touch your phone.”
She turned to Thalia. “You’ve got it wrong. I never touched Darion’s phone, and I definitely didn’t answer any calls.”
Thalia pulled out her own phone and shoved the call log in Darion’s face. “Obviously someone deleted the record on your end, but I still have it on mine.”
Darion’s expression darkened, and the temperature around him seemed to drop. When he looked at Miya now, there was a hint of irritation in his eyes.

Darion stepped closer until he was right in front of her. “There are other items that didn’t sell. What do you
