Chapter 160
Thalia couldn’t help but wonder. ‘Do I really like Darion?
Or is it just the memory of the guy I saved back then that I’m still hung up on?’

Thalia got a call from Crystal around lunchtime.
The two of them met up at the cafe right across the street from their office.
Crystal didn’t waste any time. As soon as she saw Thalia, she came right out and said, “Mrs. Blackburn, I’ve been let go.”
Thalia frowned, caught off guard by how quickly Crystal had been fired.
Crystal gave her a skeptical look. “So, are you not planning to divorce him?”
I do want a divorce.” Thalia said bluntly. “But I can’t do anything about him letting you go.”
Crystal frowned. “Then how am I supposed to get close to him now?”
she couldn’t help but feel a bit resentful toward Thalia.
If only Thalia hadn’t called me last night, Crystal thought.
I could’ve kept working as Darion’s secretary, showing him what I’m capable of, and slowly making my way into his life.
But Thalia’s sudden appearance last night had totally thrown off her plan.
Crystal leaned back in her chair and said, “Mrs. Blackburn, you were the one who brought me here. So now, it’s on you to ort this mess out.”
She spoke with a hint of arrogance, acting like she was calling the shots.
Thalia raised an eyebrow and asked, “You’ve been working by his side for a while now. Has your relationship gotten any loser? Have you ever gone out with him alone to any business dinners?”
Crystal’s gaze flickered. “I… I’m just the new secretary. Of course Mr. Blackburn wouldn’t invite me to any important
usiness dinners.”
You haven’t even managed to have a single dinner with him, and now you’re blaming me for messing up your plan?” Thalia xposed her real thoughts without hesitation. “I gave you the opportunity, but you just couldn’t pull it off.”
Crystal was furious and embarrassed. “Thalia, what do you mean by that?!”
No big deal,” Thalia said calmly. “I want a divorce, you want to hook up with Darion. We should be working together, not >ointing fingers and shifting blame when things don’t go our way.
If you’re expecting me to deliver Darion straight to your bed, sorry, but if you won’t even make an effort, don’t expect omeone else to feed you everything on a silver platter.”
With that, Thalia stood up and walked away without another word.
Damn You!”

Chapter 160
Crystal was so furious that her face was flushed with rage.
Thalia’s every word cut her down, calling her incompetent.
‘Does she really think Darion is just some guy any woman can get close to?
Does she think everyone can win Darion over as easily as she did, just like that?
‘She’s really driving me up the wall!’
Crystal immediately called Helen and filled her in on what had happened.
Helen replied. “Then just switch up your strategy. Tell Darion you’re willing to help him get back together with Thalia. That way, he’ll want to keep you around. After that, the rest is on you.”
Crystal’s eyes lit up instantly.
“Thank you, Mrs. Blackburn. I know what to do now,” Crystal said, her voice full of confidence.
Later that afternoon, Thalia finished her recording session and stepped out of the studio, only to see Miya waiting for her.
