Chapter 170
Thalia curved her lips into a smile. “Surprised to see me?”
Darion’s handsome face remained calm and composed. He glanced at her fair hand, then at her dress, and replied, “No, I knew you’d come find me”
Thalia felt a chill run down her spine, but she kept up the act on her face. “So, what were you talking about”
Darion glanced at the group standing across from them.
The man in front spoke up right away. “Mrs. Blackburn, it’s been so long since we last saw you. You look even more stunning these days.”
Thalia clinked her glass with his. “Thank you.”
Darion went along and made the introductions.
Thalia struck up a conversation with them.
Miya stood off to the side, surprised to see Thalia show up. As soon as Thalia appeared, everyone’s attention shifted to her, and Miya instinctively tightened her grip on her wine glass.
After a while, she finally said, “Darion, I really owe you for making this happen.”
“Mm.”
Darion just replied with a grunt.
Thalia was all ears, feeling both confused and on guard.
What’s Darion trying to do for Miya this time?’ Thalia thought, a sense of unease creeping in.
Her fingers curled, and a surge of discomfort churned inside her.
Darion looked at the man across from him. “Mr. Gibson, my secretary will be in touch. You can discuss the details with Miya then.
Mr. Gibson nodded repeatedly. “Sure thing.”
Darion then led Thalia away from the group.
As soon as they turned away, Thalia didn’t waste any time. “What are you helping her with this time?”
Are you jealous? Darion’s voice dropped, teasing.
He locked eyes with her, his gaze lingering on her radiant, delicate features as he spoke in a low voice.
Thalia kept her face perfectly neutral, but her words came out through gritted teeth. “Darion, would it kill you to just answer me seriously?”
“Would it kill you to admit you’re jealous?”
He replied in a laid-back, almost indifferent tone.

Thali raaton shot up out of nowhere She was so done with him.
She tried to pull her hand back, but he caught it instantly, as if he’d known the d try
Thalsa you’re not here to stir up trouble, are you” he said in a cool, casual tone
Word was shed said she wouldn’t come to this party
But here she was
It was obvious she was here for Miya.
Seeing Miya stand in for the Coleman Group was not something Thalia wanted to see.
So, she wouldn’t make a scene at a party like this
Thalia forced herself to stay calm. “Since you already know, then what are you doing? Are you just handing the Coleman Group over to Miya?”
Darion’s tone grew even more indifferent. “It’s just a minor collaboration. So what if she gets it? There’s no need for you to get worked up about it.”
‘But what if I don’t want that?” Thalia shot him a sharp look. “She can’t represent the Coleman Group. She s just adopted, not a real Coleman. If you let her stand in for the Coleman Group, where does that leave me?”
Her expression was deadly serious. She wasn’t about to let Miya get even the slightest opportunity. She’s not worthy Thalia furned inwardly
Darion’s sharp brows furrowed, his eyes turning colder and even more piercing. Thalia, dwelling on this won’t do you any good.”
So you’ve already decided to let Miya have that collaboration, haven’t you?” Thalia stared him down, refusing to look away
Darion grasped her hand. That doesn’t matter.”
Let go Thalia’s tone was frosty, no warmth at all.
She finally understood his intentions, and her expression turned stone cold
Instead of letting go. Darion tightened his grip on her hand, his tone turning even colder Thalia, there’s something I haven’t asked you yet. I already fired Clinton, so why are you still trying to keep him around? You barely know him Whats that about?
