I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 190

Chapter 190

After two failed attempts, the valet tried to make a run for it, but the bodyguards pinned him down, leaving him completely helpless

Wendy hurried over. Thalia, are you okay? Did you get hurt?”

Thalia was still wrapped up in Darion’s arms, his grip around her waist so tight it felt like he was trying to crush her against him.

She shook her head, her face pale. “I’m fine.”

Wendy let out a sigh of relief. “That really scared me

Then she turned to Mr. Flynn. “Who was that guy? Why was he trying to kill you?”

Mr. Flynn’s usually calm, handsome face looked guilty as he glanced at Thalia, full of apology. “I’m sorry for scaring you.”

Thalia asked, confused, “What’s going on here?”

Mr. Flynn didn’t say anything for a moment.

Darion’s voice was icy as he spoke. “Mr. Flynn, before you go making friends, you’d better clean up your own mess. If my wife ever gets dragged into something like this again, you can bet I won’t let you off easy.”

With that. he kept a firm grip on Thalia and marched her straight toward his car.

Thalia’s body, still stiff from shock, slowly started regaining feeling. She tried to push his hand off her waist.

But Darion only held her even tighter, locking her in place.

His voice was low and cold. “Still not scared after all that?”

Thalia’s face was pale and tense. She said through clenched teeth, “Let go of me. I can walk by myself.”

“Let you go so you can walk off on your own?” Darion saw right through her. He opened the passenger side door and practically shoved her into the seat.

To make sure she didn’t bolt, he leaned over and fastened her seatbelt for her.

They were close enough that their breaths mingled in the air.

Thalia’s back went rigid, her breathing grew shallow.

Darion finished buckling her in and was about to straighten up when he noticed her icy, wary look. His gaze grew darker.

“Thalia, didn’t I warn you before to keep your distance from him?” Darion said.

Thalia kept her lips pressed together, saying nothing.

Darion’s brows furrowed, then he straightened up and shut the passenger door.

He glanced at the bodyguards and ordered. “Hand him over to the cops.”

On it. one of the bodyguards replied.

Chapter 1901

The valet was already tied up, struggling but unable to break free.

Wendy looked back and forth, weighing her options, then with a sigh, walked over to the curb to hail a cab

There was absolutely no way she was getting in Darion’s car. She’d definitely end up cussing him out.

Darion finished giving his orders and climbed into the car, completely ignoring Mr. Flynn the whole time.

The car started up and drove off, leaving the place behind.

Thalia sat there, saying nothing, her hands clammy with cold sweat as the fear slowly crept up on her again.

Honestly, the biggest drama she’d ever had growing up was when her parents brought Miya home, and the worst disaster was that earthquake

She’d never even come close to experiencing something as terrifying as an assassination attempt.

Suddenly, Darion took her hand in his, his warm palm enveloping her trembling fingertips.

Darion’s voice was low and steady. “Don’t be afraid. Nothing’s going to happen to you.”
