I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 193

Chapter 193

Thalia replied, “Make sure you stay safe too.”

“I will. Sebastian said gently.

Just then, the bedroom door swung open and Darion stepped in from outside.

He was wearing an apron, his piercing gaze locked onto her. “Thalia, now that you’re up, come cat.”

His voice was perfectly pitched so the person on the phone could hear him clearly.

Sebastian was silent for a moment before saying, “I won’t keep you any longer. Let’s grab a meal together sometime.”

“Okay.” Thalia replied.

Thalia responded softly, then hung up the phone.

Without even glancing at Darion, she got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom.

She picked up some clean clothes as she went. Darion saw her do this and didn’t say anything else.

After her shower, she felt much more refreshed and went downstairs, where the food was already set out on the dining table.

Darion was sitting on the couch in the living room, busy replying to messages on his phone.

She barely spared him a glance before making for the door.

“Thalia,” Darion called out.

Seeing her about to leave, Darion spoke up to stop her.

Thalia picked up her pace, but when she opened the door, she found the bodyguards blocking her way.

Her face fell instantly.

“What the hell is this supposed to mean?” she snapped.

She whipped around, her eyes shooting daggers at Darion, fury written all over her face.

Darion said, “I just want to have a meal with you. Ignore me if you want, but you still have to eat.”

Thalia clenched her fists.

‘He totally saw this coming. That’s why he had the bodyguards stationed at the door.

‘What a manipulative guy! Thalia grumbled to herself.

Her stomach started growling, and she wasn’t about to ignore her hunger.

She walked over to the table, sat down, and picked up her fork to eat.

Seeing this, the cold look on Darion’s face eased up a bit.

Even if she was only staying because he made her.

She kept her gaze lowered, eating in silence, her face completely blank.

Darton just sat there, watching her for a while, his chest tightening with a sour, aching feeling.

Back then, she’d be right there, grinning as she watched him cook.

Whenever he finished a meal, she’d gush over everything he made, like it was the best thing she’d ever tasted.

But now, he had to pull strings just to get her to sit at the same table with him.

He felt himself getting annoyed.

Just then, his phone rang. He picked up, sounding indifferent. “Mom, what is it?”

Helen said, “Keith’s been asking to see you. Where are you right now?”

Darion replied, “I’m at home.”

“Then stop by,” Helen said, clearly frustrated. “Come check on your nephew.”

“Mom,” Darion’s voice grew even colder. “You’re Keith’s grandma. You haven’t really spent much time with him, so you should spend some time with him and build a relationship.”

Helen fell silent. She’d been subconsciously avoiding it, but Darion was right.

“Fine,” she said, reluctantly.
