Chapter 194
When Darion’s handsome face turned gloomy. Thalia actually felt a bit better. She asked, “Can I leave now?”
Darion shot her a cold look with his sharp eyes. “No.”
But Thalia was already on her feet, making her way to the door.

She wasn’t going to make things hard for herself. Once she’d eaten her fill, she had no intention of hanging around any longer.
The bodyguard reached out to stop her, but Thalia stepped forward, nearly bumping into his hand.
The bodyguard was startled and quickly withdrew his hand.
Stopping Thalia was one thing, but if he actually touched her, he could kiss his job goodbye.
Thalia strode out of the villa.
The bodyguard cast a wary glance at Darion.
Darion stared at her back, his voice icy and deep. “Follow her discreetly.”
“Yes, sir,” the bodyguard replied.
When Thalia realized no one was tailing her, she breathed out in relief, her whole body loosening up.
Night settled over the city, and the streets began to glow with lights.
She ordered a ride home. Once she got back and checked her phone, she realized the name of her work WhatsApp group had changed.
The project manager had just posted in the group, announcing that the company had been bought out.
Now, Melody Studios was officially a media and audio division of the Blackburn Group.
Thalia frowned. ‘Has Darion Blackburn lost his mind?
Why would he suddenly buy out a voice-over studio out of the blue?’
Wesley sent her a WhatsApp message.
Wesley: [The company’s been bought out, but the project’s still on. We’ve only finished half the episodes, so don’t even think about quitting.]
It was like he could read her mind and shut down any idea she had of bailing.
Thalia replied with a simple “Okay” and put her phone away.
Just then, there was a sound at the door.
She looked over, puzzled, and saw Trenton Coleman standing outside on the video intercom screen.

Chapter 194
Senously what’s he doing here again? Thalia wondered.
Bang Bang Bang!
Just as the thought crossed her mind, the door was hit with loud bangs.
They clearly weren’t here with good intentions.
Thalia’s face went cold as she pulled out her phone and called the cops.
Trenton stood outside with his bodyguards, waiting for any sign of movement. But there was nothing. His informant had clearly told him Thalia was already home.
So she’s just refusing to see me.
What a rebellious girl!
Not a single day goes by without her causing trouble!’ Trenton fumed inwardly.
They waited for half an hour, but Thalia never opened the door. Instead, the police ended up arriving.
“Hey! What are you all doing here?” one of the officers demanded.
The officer’s tone turned sharp as he spotted Trenton flanked by five or six bodyguards.
Trenton’s expression soured. He stepped forward and said, “Officer, my daughter lives here. I’m here to visit her.”
The officer frowned. “We received a report of someone trying to break into this residence. Is she really your daughter?”
Trenton nodded. “That’s right. If you need proof, I can go home and get the household register. My daughter hasn’t opened the door, and I’m really worried something might have happened to her.
“Officer, you’re just in time. Could you help me get her to open up? I’m really concerned about her.”
As he spoke, he pulled out his personal ID card.
Then he took out his phone and called the housekeeper, asking him to find the household register and send a photo over.
The officer glanced over the household register, and his suspicions eased.
He turned to Trenton and asked, “So, she’s actually inside?”
“Yes, she is. We just had a fight… She’s got a stubborn streak, and whenever we argue, she just cuts off all contact with the family. That’s why I had to come over and check on her.
“But she won’t even open the door. Officer, honestly, what are parents supposed to do?”
Trenton sighed, his face showing nothing but exasperation over Thalia.
The officer didn’t say much more. He just stepped up and knocked on the door.
