I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 215

Chapter 215

“Then come to my office,” Darion said.

Darion stood up and grabbed her hand, not taking no for an answer.

Thalia frowned and yanked her hand back. “I said no.”

‘I still have work to do. My injury’s nothing now. Can you stop hovering around and let me be?”

But Darion’s gaze dropped to her wrist. Her flawless skin was bare. The stunning purple diamond bracelet was nowhere to

be seen.

His intense, dark eyes locked onto hers, and he asked in a low, serious voice, “Where’s the bracelet?”

Thalia’s eyes flickered for a moment before she replied, “I thought it was a hassle, so I took it off.”

She found Darion so annoying. Just having him around was enough to get on her nerves.

And anything he gave her? She just saw it as a bother.

Darion felt a restless anger churning in his chest, and his eyes grew even darker.

Thalia checked the time and said, “I’ve got work to do. How come the CEO of Blackburn Group has so much free time?”

Darion gave her an icy look. “I’ll track down that bracelet. And if I find it, Thalia, I’ll turn it into handcuffs and chain you at iome, so you won’t be able to escape.”

Thalia’s lashes fluttered with anger. “If you’re nuts, go get yourself checked!”

She stormed out of the conference room.

Then she pulled out her phone and dialed Wendy.

Hey, Thalia, what’s up?” Wendy sounded absolutely thrilled. She’d already found a buyer offering eleven million dollars. Oh nan, she was practically squealing!

Thalia sighed, feeling totally defeated. “We can’t sell the bracelet after all.”

Huh?” Wendy was caught off guard. “Why not?”

Thalia said, “That crazy bastard is about to go nuts. We really can’t handle what’ll happen if he finds out.”

Wendy deflated at the thought of losing out on 5 million dollars, but her best friend’s safety came first. She said, “Alright, better safe than sorry. We won’t sell it.”

After hanging up. Thalia pulled herself together and headed straight for the recording studio.

Darion kept his distance for the rest of the day.

Thalia enjoyed a rare day of peace.

That evening, Shyla called her, sounding gentle as ever. “Thalia, are you off work yet? Would you come to the hospital and keep your mom company?”

Chapter 215

Thalia answered in a cool tone. “No, I’m really busy.”

She couldn’t completely cut ties with them, but there was no way she could deal with them calmly.

They were always so unfair.

She really didn’t want to see them again.

She met up for dinner with a friend she knew thanks to Matthew, who worked at a private medical clinic.

While sitting in the restaurant, Thalia took out a clear plastic bag containing a few strands of hair and handed it to her friend.

I want a paternity test,” she said.

Her friend nodded. “Okay.”

Thalia, a bit impatient, asked, “How soon can I get the results?”

Three to five working days,” her friend said.

Thalja nodded and flashed her a grateful smile. “Thanks, you’re a lifesaver.”

Her friend left quickly, and Thalia started looking over the menu. Just as she was deciding what to order, someone tapped on the table.

Thalia, what a coincidence.”

I was a voice she knew well, warm and friendly, with a hint of amusement.

Thalia looked up and saw Sebastian standing beside her, smiling at her.

Sebastian, you’re here for dinner, too?” Thalia asked.

Yeah, Sebastian nodded, then glanced at the empty seat across from her. “Mind if I join you?”

Of course, have a seat,” Thalia said with a bright smile. “Did you hear their signature dishes are really good, so you came to ry them too?”

Yeah, a friend recommended this place. I had some free time today, so I thought I’d give it a shot. Didn’t expect to run into ‘ou here. Guess it’s just fate,” Sebastian said with a gentle smile.
