Before long, the phone rang again. Wendy had arrived.

Wendy kicked off her shoes and walked in. “What brings you here? How did you even know Thalia was moving in?”

Sebastian smiled. “My place is right behind hers.”

‘Oh, I see!” Wendy said, nodding knowingly. “You two really are fated to be neighbors.”

Thalia tugged her up. “Quit messing around. Come on, let’s go wash the veggies.”

He nodded and stood up. “I can help out too.”

‘Oh, no need, Sebastian. Just take it easy. Wendy and I will have everything sorted in no time,” Wendy said, grinning.

But Sebastian came over anyway. “Let’s all pitch in. It makes it feel more like a team effort, and honestly, food tastes better when everyone helps.”

He was so persistent that they just went along with it.

They washed and chopped the veggies, laid everything out, and prepped all the toppings and condiments for the hamburger night. Drinks were ready, and the table was set for a feast.

Things moved quickly, and by the time everyone gathered around the table, their faces lit up with excitement.
