Darion’s sharp brows drew together. “Thalia, I did what you asked. Why aren’t you happy?”
Thalia played along, letting out a couple of fake laughs. “Oh, I’m so happy. Really.”
The next second, her smile vanished. “Are you satisfied now?”
Darion’s handsome face darkened instantly.
ust then, his phone rang. It was Ryan calling.
‘Speak, Darion said coldly.
Ryan immediately picked up on the icy tone and Darion’s irritation. He swallowed nervously and said, “Mr. Blackburn, the nternational conference starts in ten minutes.”
Darion hung up without another word.
Thalia was already on her way to the conference room, script in hand.
The way she acted so cold and sarcastic just got under his skin, making him even more irritated.
He turned and walked away.
Wesley Chase watched as Thalia walked in with a gloomy look, his brows furrowing slightly. “You don’t look so good.”
I’m fine, Thalia replied. She glanced over the rest of the script and estimated there was still about a month’s work left.
Wesley said seriously, “Don’t let your personal feelings interfere with your work. Your voice can’t be affected.”
Yeah, I know,” Thalia said.
After the meeting, she walked straight into the recording studio.
After a busy afternoon, she finally stepped out, her throat dry and parched.
she went to the break room, fixed herself some lemon water, taking small sips.
After work, she headed straight to the mall, picked up some daily essentials, and had them delivered to her new place.
Once she was done shopping, she stopped by the security office and gave them the name and phone number of the person he wanted to blacklist from the complex.
The security guard grinned. “Rest assured, that person won’t be able to get into the complex.”
Thalia smiled back. “Thanks.”
That’s what we’re here for!” the guard replied.
She lugged her stuff back to her new apartment.
All her actions were quietly monitored by a hidden bodyguard, who kept Darion updated on everything she did.
Inside the dimly lit car, Darion read through the stream of messages on his phone, his expression turning more and more

grim.
Jason Campbell, sitting beside him, picked up on the heavy atmosphere and quickly asked, “Darion, what’s up?”
Darion glanced at him. “Hey, do you have any property in Maplewood Estate?”
Jason looked a bit lost, trying to remember. He had so many properties, it was hard to keep track.
Darion, clearly out of patience, shot him a cold, hard stare.
Jason snapped his fingers. “Oh, right! I do have a villa over there. What’s up?”
Transfer it to me,” Darion said, his tone icy.
Jason blinked in confusion. “Why the sudden interest in that villa?”
Darion replied, “Take your pick from my garage. Any car you want.”
‘Sweet!” Jason replied, his eyes lighting up.
His eyes sparkled as he started daydreaming about which car to choose.
Every car in Darion’s garage was a limited edition!
Darion turned off his phone, an icy smirk curling on his lips.
Alright then.
Nice try, Thalia,’ he scoffed.
Moved there just to avoid me, huh?
Does she really think that’ll stop me?’
Thalia was video chatting with Wendy, giving her a tour of her new place.
