Thalia yanked her hand away from him, her eyes, usually so clear, now frosted with coldness as she stared him down. Her voice was low and sharp as she demanded, “How did you know Diana was here?”
Is he spying on Diana too?’ Thalia wondered, suspicion flickering in her mind.
Darion’s hand was left empty, and he felt awkward. But seeing her icy expression, he forced himself to explain, “My assistant was on a business trip and saw Diana coming out of the airport.”
He explained, then looked at her. “Are you suspecting I arranged for Diana to come here?”
Thalia let out a cold laugh. “Isn’t that exactly the kind of thing you’d do?”
Darion actually took a moment to think about it, then nodded. “Yeah, I would.”
Thalia was speechless.
She just ignored him.
At the moment, Thalia was really struggling. Should she tell Diana she’d already filed for divorce? ‘What if she gets hurt? But
iding it won’t work forever,’ she thought.
Eventually. Diana was going to find out anyway.
Thalia looked at him and said, “I’ll tell Diana about the divorce, but I want you to stay quiet about everything that happened between us before.”
If Diana only knew about the divorce, she’d probably just think their relationship fell apart. But if she found out what Thalia had really been through, she’d be devastated, worried sick.
Darion’s eyes grew darker. “Will Diana really be okay if she finds out about the divorce?”
Thalia let out a cold laugh. “Divorce is everywhere these days. Diana’s pretty open-minded. She can accept it.”
With that, she didn’t spare him another glance and headed upstairs.
What if I say no?”
But just then, Darion’s voice drifted over from behind her, calm and unhurried.
Thalia whipped around. “What do you mean?”
Withdraw the divorce case. Once Diana gets the sapphire earrings, I’ll send her back, and she won’t find out about anything that happened here,” Darion said, stepping up to her, his tone steady. “But if you don’t, Diana will learn everything that happened.”
Thalia, burning with anger, raised her hand to hit him.
But Darion grabbed her wrist. “Thalia, don’t play games with Diana’s health, alright?”
“That’s exactly what I should be saying to you!” Thalia snapped, her expression dark with fury.
Darion let out a low chuckle. ‘I only respect Diana because she’s your grandmother. Once we’re divorced, she means nothing to me. Why should I care about her then?”

Thalia said with a cold edge, “All your schemes just make me despise you more, Darion. Do you really think this is what you
want?”
Darion’s expression twisted, looking even more furious.
Thalia headed upstairs, ducked into the bathroom, and rehearsed what she wanted to say in front of the mirror a few times. before finally going back to see Diana.
“Diana, I ordered your favorite juice. It’ll be here soon,” Thalia said, settling in beside her and hooking her arm through Diana’s.
Diana caressed Thalia’s cheek. “Thalia, you’ve gotten so thin. Is work wearing you out?”
Thalia’s lashes quivered. “Yeah, a bit. I haven’t worked in ages, so it’s taking some getting used to.”
Diana said, “Then eat well, okay? Don’t let work make you forget to take care of yourself.”
“I will,” Thalia replied with a gentle nod.
Just then, Darion walked back in, looking cool and collected, like nothing had happened earlier.
But Thalia’s heart jumped into her throat, afraid he might say something he shouldn’t.
