Chapter 245
The food was served, every dish tailored to Diana’s tastes.
Thalia’s heart was in her throat the whole time.
Her gaze kept flickering over to Darion, waiting for him to speak up. If he did, she’d jump in before he could finish.
To her surprise, he never said what she feared. He just chatted casually with Diana, as if nothing was wrong.
After dinner, they returned to Rosewood Manor. The guest room was ready, so Diana was going to stay over.
Thalia said, “I’ll stay with you tonight.”
“Of course, Diana smiled and nodded.
Thalia went upstairs to grab her pajamas, but just as she was about to leave, Darion blocked the doorway.
She shot him a wary look. “What are you doing?”
Darion crossed his arms, his narrow, fox-like eyes glinting in the dim light, his voice low. “You kept staring at me during dinner.”
Thalia shot back, “So what?”
Darion’s gaze lingered on her lips. “You kept looking at me, and now I’m so thirsty for you. I just want to kiss you.”
Thalia was speechless.
This guy is seriously nuts, Thalia thought.
Her face turned icy. “We’re getting divorced, Darion. If you’re feeling lonely, go find Miya, or whoever you want. I won’t stop
you.”
Darion’s face instantly darkened.
‘She’s pushing me away again, he thought.
He said coldly, “Thalia, I don’t like it when you talk like that.”
The air around him seemed to freeze, and his eyes were frosty as he stared at her.
Thalia wanted to throw a sarcastic remark, but she held back, still a bit cautious. “It’s getting late. I need to go to Diana.”
But Darion said, “Even if you don’t go right away, Diana already knows we’re getting cozy.”
Thalia was speechless.
She shot daggers at him, her jaw tight, like she was ready to tear him to pieces right then and there.
Darion tapped his cheek. Just give me a kiss, and I won’t be mad anymore.”
Thalia didn’t say a word. She just walked right up to him.
Darion raised an eyebrow, his eyes lighting up with anticipation.

She stopped right in front of him, stood on her tiptoes, and leaned in like she was about to kiss him.
Darion’s breath grew heavier. Her boldness was like an aphrodisiac, making his heart race.
He could feel her soft breath brushing against his cheek.
In the next second, Thalia opened the door and slipped out, making a quick escape.
Darion was left standing there, still waiting for her kiss, but in a flash, she was gone, like she’d vanished into thin air.
He froze for a moment, then looked downstairs. He heard the guest room door slam shut and couldn’t help but laugh. quietly to himself.
After showering in the guest room, Thalia dove straight into Diana’s arms, pulling back the covers without hesitation.
‘Love cuddling with you, Diana,” Thalia murmured, nuzzling closer.
