Shyla frowned slightly, her tone tinged with dissatisfaction. “Thalia, what’s with your attitude? My mom is sick and in the hospital. Of course, I have to come and take care of her.”
Thalia looked at her in disbelief, amazed at how shameless she could be.
After saying all those things she shouldn’t have to Diana, she still had the audacity to show up in front of her.
It was truly eye-opening.
Thalia’s expression turned icy. “You should just go. There’s no need for you here. I’ll take care of Diana myself.”
But Shyla shook her head. “I’m staying. I want to look after my mom.”
She turned to Diana. “Mom, let me stay and keep you company, okay?”
“Okay,” Diana replied.
Diana didn’t refuse.
Thalia was a bit confused, her pretty brows furrowing, but she knew better than to meddle in Diana’s choices.
Just then, Trenton walked in. “Thalia, how could you not tell us Diana was in the hospital? You really have no sense of priorities.”
Thalia asked coldly, “Then how did you find out?”
Trenton snorted. “Miya told us. She has some friends at your company. When your boss came to visit Diana, her friend found out and immediately let Miya know, so she called us right away. If it weren’t for her, we wouldn’t even know Diana was in the hospital.”
Thalia felt a wave of annoyance wash over her.
Shyla turned to Diana. “Mom, you haven’t met Miya yet, right? She’s the daughter Trenton and I adopted.
‘She’s sweet, thoughtful, and super easygoing, not to mention she’s gorgeous. She really cares about you, but she was worried you might not like her, so she decided not to come.”
Diana looked at her and asked, “You already have Thalia, so why adopt another daughter?”
Shyla’s eyes flickered. “I just happened to see her one day and couldn’t help but feel bad for her. She was so young, all alone in the orphanage, so I brought her home. Plus, I thought she could keep Thalia company.”
Diana pressed, “Did you ever ask Thalia how she felt about it?”
Shyla shrugged, completely unconcerned. “Trenton and I made the call to adopt Miya together. Thalia was just a kid at the time. Her opinion didn’t matter.”
Diana closed her eyes, clearly worn out.
Thalia clenched her fists so tightly her knuckles turned white. If Diana hadn’t agreed to let Shyla stay, she honestly would’ve thrown them all out right then and there, she thought.
Just then, her phone started ringing. She glanced at the screen. It was the lab calling.

Chapter 265
She got up, walked out of the hospital room, and answered. “Hello?”

Ms. Thalia Coleman, your paternity test results are ready. Can you give me an address? I’ll send them over by courier,” the caller said.
Thalia replied with the hospital’s address and told them to rush the delivery, cash on delivery. She waited outside the hospital.
After half an hour, the package was finally in Thalia’s hands.
Thalia felt her nerves spike. She took a deep breath, ripped open the package, and scanned the report. The moment she saw he 99.99% match, all her hopes were crushed in a second.
Turns out, she and Shyla really were mother and daughter.
She gripped the report tightly, thinking how ridiculous it all was.
I really wished we weren’t actually related, Thalia thought bitterly, but reality just wouldn’t let me have that wish.
she ripped the report to shreds and threw it straight into the trash can.
Now that she was officially the Coleman family’s daughter, Thalia was dead set on getting everything that belonged to her. No way was she going to let Trenton and Shyla hand her share over to Miya. She’d fight them every step of the way.
Back in the hospital room, Thalia kept a straight face. She looked at Trenton and asked, “So, I heard you opened a company or Miya Coleman?”
