Darion’s face was cold, but his tone was forceful. “She’s the Coleman family’s daughter. She should be the one calling the shots at home. Miya’s just making trouble for no reason.”

Helen’s brows furrowed deeply. “But if Thalia doesn’t show where she stands, this won’t be over anytime soon.”

‘So what exactly do you want from her?” Darion fixed his gaze on Helen, his eyes icy. “Do you want her to apologize to Miya, or just give in and let Miya take whatever she wants?”

Helen fell silent.

Darion’s tone grew even colder. “She saved my life back then. I’ll handle all this. Thalia doesn’t owe anyone anything, and she definitely doesn’t have to put up with Miya’s demands.”

Silence hung heavy at the entrance of the emergency room.

Helen paused, thinking it through. Darion really had a point. What did all this drama have to do with Thalia anyway?

Helen pressed, “Have them investigate thoroughly. That road barely ever has cars, and there’s a speed limit. The timing of hat car was just way too coincidental.”

Her gaze fell on Darion’s arms, where Keith was fast asleep, tears still clinging to his lashes. He looked heartbreakingly vulnerable.

With Emely gone, Keith only had his mom left. Everyone’s hearts went out to him. They didn’t want to see him separated from her.

Too bad his mom’s intentions weren’t pure.

Helen had already made up her mind. Once Miya was a bit better, she’d send her abroad, and Keith was staying right here
