“Diana trusts you, and so do I. Keep working with me.” Thalia said, letting out a heavy sigh.

Her hand was sore from all the signing, and she still hadn’t really felt the sense of security these documents were supposed to give her.

She looked at Zane and asked, “Is the security company in Oakwood?”

Zane replied, “If you’d like, we can relocate to Oakwood.”

“Alright, let’s move then,” Thalia said with a smile.

“Got it,” Zane replied.

Zane nodded, then asked, “Ms. Coleman, is there anything else you need? Just tell me all at once and I’ll handle it for you.”

Thalia said, “Let me think about it.”

“Alright, just send me a message when you do,” Zane said.

They had already exchanged contact information.

“Okay,” Thalia replied.

Thalia nodded.

Zane left with the documents, and Thalia headed back to the office, still feeling a bit dazed.

‘Did I just go from being a regular rich lady with a few hundred million to an ultra-rich queen?’ Thalia thought to herself.

But right now, there was one really tough problem she had to deal with.

Thalia sent Zane a message.

Thalia: [I need a top-notch legal team to help me with my divorce.]

Zane: [Got it, I’ll take care of it.]

Thalia put her phone down and let out a long sigh.

Back at the office, Thalia dove right back into her work. Even though she was now worth a fortune, she still had to finish what was on her plate.

After a busy morning, Zane messaged her in the afternoon, letting her know the legal team was ready to go.

Thalia was genuinely surprised at how fast he got things done. ‘Dang, that was quick!’ she thought.

She passed Matthew’s contact info to Zane so he could reach out to him.

Matthew’s people had always handled the divorce stuff for her.

After work. Thalia headed straight to the hospital to tell Diana about her meeting with Zane.

Diana smiled gently. “I’m getting old, and I just don’t have the energy to manage all that anymore. Now that it’s in your

hands, you could just lounge around for the rest of your life and never have to worry about a thing.”

Thalia couldn’t help but laugh. “Grandma, with all that money, I could lounge around for ten lifetimes.”

Diana just said, “You can’t take it with you when you go, so why be so stingy? Just live it up while you can.”

“Alright,” Thalia replied.

Thalia held Diana’s hand, then gently touched her own cheek, leaning in with a childlike dependence. She was completely relying on her grandmother.

After sharing a warm dinner with Diana, Thalia gave Clinton a call.

They settled on a place to meet, and Thalia left the hospital.

Once she got in her car, Thalia dialed Zane. “Do you have anyone in Oakwood I can trust? I need someone to watch my back discreetly.”

Zane replied, “Yes, Ms. Coleman. Please hold on for a moment.”

Thalia raised an eyebrow. “Just how many assets does Diana really have?”

Zane chuckled. “Everyone’s from the security company. They’ve already started arriving in Oakwood, and they’re all set to follow your lead.”

‘So it’s just security staff?’ Thalia thought to herself.

Thalia gripped her phone tightly. “Alright, I’ll send you my location. Just have them keep an eye on me from the shadows.”

“Got it,” Zane replied.

The place Thalia had arranged to meet Clinton was a restaurant known for its privacy.

When she walked into the private room, she saw Clinton was already there. He looked nothing like the confident guy she remembered. Now he just seemed totally defeated.

Thalia sat down across from him, a little surprised. “You’ve really changed.”

Clinton gave a bitter smile. “I joined a new company, but my colleagues kept pushing me out, and my boss was always coming after me.

“I tried my best on every project I was assigned, but things just kept going wrong. Even the projects I had nothing to do with somehow ended up getting blamed on me…”

He took a deep breath and said, “Thalia, someone’s out to get me. The only person I can think of is Mr. Blackburn. Is he not here today?”
