I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 307

Chapter 307

Sebastian nodded slightly and then asked, “Which friend of yours got hurt? Is it Ms. Adkins?”

“No.” Thalia shook her head. “It’s not someone important.”

Hearing this, Sebastian’s eyes behind his glasses flickered slightly, but he didn’t ask any more questions.

He slid into the front passenger seat.

Thalia climbed in after him, buckled up, and the car pulled away

Sebastian was tapping away at his phone, replying to a few messages, when he suddenly glanced over at her and asked, “I remember your divorce case with Mr. Blackburn was supposed to start this week, right? How’s it going? Did you get the verdict yet?”

Thalia’s grip on the steering wheel tightened a little. “No, something unexpected came up, so the hearing got postponed.”

Sebastian looked puzzled. “Really? What happened”

hurt,” Thalia said, pressing her lips together.

Seeing how reluctant she was to talk about it, Sebastian’s eyes showed a hint of understanding.

“So, the one in the hospital here is Mr. Blackburn,” he said.

Thalia let out a helpless sigh. “Yeah.”

Sebastian looked even more puzzled. “He seemed perfectly fine. How did he end up getting hurt?”

He paused, his tone turning more nonchalant. “If I remember right, he was always against the divorce, wasn’t he?”

Thalia’s elegant brows furrowed, and she couldn’t help but let her thoughts spiral.

He really didn’t want the divorce.

He’d even told her before that he had all sorts of ways to stop the hearing from happening.

‘Could this incident… Thalia wondered, her mind spinning.

‘No!’ she snapped inwardly.

‘No, I can’t let myself think that way! Thalia scolded herself.

“Those were real bullets! she reminded herself.

‘Even if he wanted to drag things out, he wouldn’t take things to such extremes. Plus, he didn’t even know Shyla was going to take Diana away, she reasoned.

So, stop letting your imagination run wild, she told herself firmly.

Thalia quickly pulled herself together. “He was never on board with it, but our relationship had run its course. Divorce was bound to happen eventually.”

Sebastian looked at her and asked, “I’ve heard a lot since I got back. You two have been together for years, right? Is it really

‘I don’t feel any regret about it. Thalia said softly. “When it’s time to let go, you have to do it, so you don’t end up hurting yourself later

“Yeah, you’re right,” Sebastian nodded. “I think you’re doing the right thing.”

Thalia smiled and said, “We’re here.”

“Wow, that was quick…” Sebastian said with a hint of regret. “I wish we could talk a bit longer.”

Thalia replied, “Let’s sit down and really catch up when things settle down for both of us.”

“Alright, Sebastian replied.

Sebastian nodded and got out of the car.

He stood there, watching as Thalia drove off. He lingered for a moment, only turning away after her car disappeared around the corner.

So it was Darion who got hurt, Sebastian thought to himself.
