I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 308

Chapter 308

Diana gently stroked Thalia’s hair, her voice slow and gentle as she said, “I’ve been ready for this for a long time. Ever since she said she wanted to take care of me, I knew she must have had some kind of motive.”

Thalia’s eyes filled with confusion. Then why did you let her stay and look after you?”

Diana let out a sigh. “It’s funny, really. I just wanted to see if she was truly sincere.”

The outcome was destined to be disappointing.

Thalia leaned in close to Diana, feeling a deep ache in her heart.

This was her own daughter, the one she carried for nine months, the child she brought into the world with all her hopes and dreams.

And now, her daughter treated her like this. How could Diana not feel deeply hurt and disappointed?

Thalia closed her eyes for a second, then said, “I’ll make sure she apologizes to you.”

Diana just gave a soft smile and stayed quiet.

The next day.

Thalia was busy until noon when she got a call from Trenton. “I brought your mom to see Diana, but we can’t get in.”

Thalia said, her voice cold, “I’ll be back soon.”

She hung up, let Wesley know, and headed straight to the hospital.

When she arrived at the door to the hospital room, she found Trenton and Shyla standing outside.

Her gaze immediately fixed on Shyla.

t had only been a few days, but Shyla looked gaunt and haggard. Gone was the vibrant, dignified woman she used to be.

Thalia kept her tone flat as she walked over and asked Trenton, “Are you here to apologize to Diana?”

Shyla’s gaze wavered as she looked at her. “Thalia…”

Trenton nodded. “Yeah, your mom realizes she messed up, so she wanted to come and make things right with Diana.”

Alright, let’s go,” Thalia said coolly, not even glancing at Shyla as she strode over and pushed open the hospital room door.

Without sparing Shyla a look, Thalia swung open the door to Diana’s room.

The caregivers were sitting with Diana, watching TV. As soon as Thalia walked in, she asked them to step out.

Once the door was closed, Thalia stood quietly to the side, her clear eyes distant and emotionless as she watched them.

Trenton looked genuinely apologetic. “Mom, I really didn’t know what happened last time. If I had, I would’ve stopped her. She’s been acting strange lately. Could you please let it go?”

Chapter 308

Diana lay on the hospital bed, her expression was calm

Thalia let out a cold laugh. “Don’t even try to shift the blame. That kind of attitude is honestly disgusting.”

Trenton shot her a frown, itching to snap back, but with the Coleman Group under so much pressure, he had no choice but to hold back.

He turned to Shyla. “Speak up.”

Shyla trembled, finally meeting Diana’s gaze, her voice shaky. “Mom, I know I was wrong…”

Diana finally broke her silence. “You took me away and threatened Thalia. What were you really after?”

Shyla’s face turned even paler. “Mom… I never wanted to hurt you. I just wanted to take back what should have belonged to Vicky and return it to her. She saved my life back then. If it hadn’t been for her, I wouldn’t even be here now…

Back when Shyla was a teenager, she accidentally fell into a river. She couldn’t swim, but Vicky suddenly showed up and saved her. After that, Shyla started seeing her in a whole new light and became much closer to her.

Diana listened, then suddenly chuckled. “Ah, so that’s the reason. Now I get why you always treated her so well. But let’s be real. Wasn’t she basically the mistress?”

Shyla’s hands tightened into fists. “Mom, please don’t call Vicky that. She never tried to get between you and Dad’s marriage. She just wanted to keep her distance and see Dad happy, that’s all.”
