Chapter 315

Now that all those burdens were gone. Thalia actually felt lighter, almost free.

She didn’t have to get upset over Trenton and his wife’s favoritism anymore, and she wasn’t going to doubt herself or feel anxious because of Darion’s flip-flopping.

From now on, she was going to truly care for herself.

Thalia let out a soft sigh, feeling the tension leave her body, and headed toward the hospital.

In about two weeks, Diana would be discharged and able to rest at home

By then, Thalia would have wrapped up her work and could focus all her attention on taking care of Diana.

As for work, she just couldn’t think about it right now

The whole thing about the attack was still unresolved, and the divorce hadn’t made any progress either.

She didn’t want to go back to work only to have everything get derailed by all these unresolved issues

It was better to wait until everything was settled before thinking about work again.

She pushed open the door to the hospital room and saw Helen Blackburn sitting by the bed.

Thalia’s brows furrowed as soon as she saw her.

“Mrs. Blackburn, what brings you here?” Thalia asked, her tone cool.

She deliberately switched to the formal address.

Helen was clearly caught off guard for a moment, but quickly recovered with a smile. “I haven’t visited Diana since she was admitted. I figured she must be on the mend by now, so I thought I’d stop by. Have you been busy lately?”

“Not too bad,” Thalia replied, though a hint of caution flashed in her eyes.

Right now, Thalia was wary of anyone who made a deliberate effort to approach her or Diana.

Helen nodded. “You’re back just in time. I need to talk to you about something.”

She turned to Diana. “Diana, I won’t disturb your rest. I’ll just have a quick chat with Thalia and then I’ll leave.”

Diana waved her hand. “Alright.”

Once they stepped out of the hospital room, they headed straight to the stairwell.

Thalia asked, her brows furrowing in confusion. “What is it?”

Helen’s eyes were full of mixed emotions as she stared at Thalia, staying silent for a while before suddenly asking. “Do you really not love Darion anymore?”

Thalia nodded. “Yeah.”

Helen nodded slowly, then said. Tve been thinking about this for a long time. Honestly, compared to the risks around you. Miya is much safer. And since Darion really likes Keith. I was hoping you could help me, help them be together.”

Chapter 315

Thalia was stunned by her words.

She never would have imagined Helen would actually change her mind

Wasn’t she always so against Miya before? Thalia wondered.

Something felt off inside Thalia, but she chose not to dwell on it. She smiled warmly and said, ‘Honestly, they should’ve been together ages ago.”

‘Is that what you think too? That’s perfect! You’ve got to help me make this happen. Once they’re together, your divorce will be a breeze, Helen said, her face visibly relaxing.

‘So, what exactly do you need me to do?” Thalia asked.

Helen said. “Emely’s memorial day is coming up soon. By then, Darion should be pretty much back on his feet. I want all of you to come over to the Blackburns for dinner

Thalia nodded. “Alright, got it

Helen was still eyeing her, almost probing. ‘Doesn’t this make you feel uncomfortable

Thalja lowered her gaze, her pretty face giving nothing away, her tone flat. I’ve known this day would come for a while now, so I’m already over it.”

‘It’s good to hear that,” Helen said.

She nodded. “I’ve been feeling bad about this for a while, but since you agreed. I can finally put my mind at ease.”

Thalia, you’re a good kid, but your life is just too complicated and risky. Danon is everything to me. I can’t stand to see anything else happen to him. I’m honestly relieved you get it. Helen said.
