Chapter 344
Bonnie nodded. “Okay, Ms. Coleman.”
Sebastian stood up. “Perfect timing. Let’s head out together.”
“Alright,” Bonnie replied.

They left the hospital together, the golden glow of the setting sun washing over the city, the streets alive with cars and people.
Sebastian studied her expression and asked, “It didn’t go through, did it?”
“Yes,” Thalia replied.
Thalia looked downcast. This whole thing had dragged on for way too long.
Sebastian asked, “Did Mr. Blackburn back out again?”
“I don’t know,” Thalia sighed. “I’m not dropping the lawsuit until the divorce is finalized. This has to happen, whether he likes it or not.”
Sebastian nodded. “You’re really determined. Since you’re feeling down, how about I buy you dinner?”
He glanced at his watch. “Someone recommended a little pub to me. I’ve heard it’s got great food and drinks.”
Thalia’s eyes lit up. “Sounds good.”
She really felt like having a drink right now.
Otherwise, that knot in her heart just wouldn’t loosen up.
Sebastian said, “Just ride with me. That way, we can head home together later.”
Thalia thought for a moment. Since she’d be drinking, she couldn’t drive anyway, so she simply agreed.
“Alright,” she said.
By the time they got to the pub, night had already fallen. Warm, golden lights glowed inside, and as soon as they walked in, the air was tinged with the subtle aroma of liquor.
“Sebastian, you’re here!” the owner greeted them with a cheerful smile as he came over.
The grill was right next to them, and the owner, wearing an apron, was busy cooking steaks.
Sebastian picked a spot and pulled out a chair for her. “How about we try their signature dish?”
“Sure,” Thalia nodded.
Sebastian casually told the owner their order, then came back with two bottles of wine in his hands.

“This is the owner’s personal stash, aged for over ten years. I’m sure it’s amazing,” Sebastian said.

Thalia eyed the dark bottle and asked, “If it’s his special collection, how come he’s sharing it with you?”
Sebastian raised an eyebrow. “Guess he figured it’s a rare sight seeing me bring a girl here.”
Thalia gave a helpless smile. “Alright, I’ll make sure to do this wine justice.”
Sebastian poured her a glass, the wine clear and reflecting the warm glow of the lights.
Thalia took a tiny sip. It wasn’t strong at all. Instead, there was a subtle sweetness to it.
This was just her type!
Sebastian waited for her reaction, then asked, “You like it?”
Seeing her expression change, Sebastian smiled warmly at her.
“It’s really good,” Thalia nodded.
Sebastian said, “Even if you like it, don’t drink too much. This kind of wine really sneaks up on you.”
“Okay, I’ll wait for the signature dish,” Thalia said.
Sebastian rested his hands on the table and looked at her with genuine seriousness. “When you’re out having drinks, you should spill whatever’s weighing on you.
“Otherwise, it just stays bottled up inside. I can be your listening ear tonight. I Promise, whatever you say, I’ll leave it all behind once we walk out of here.”
Thalia was amused by how earnest he looked and shook her head with a smile. “Honestly, it’s not that much, really. The divorce just keeps dragging on, and then there’s…”
Sebastian leaned in, looking extra serious. “And what else?”
Thalia took her time, swirling her drink, then finally spoke up. “Eight years ago, I saved Darion during an earthquake. But now he insists it was Miya who rescued him.”
She knocked back her drink after saying that. Honestly, this whole thing still really bothers her.
Back then, she was head over heels for him, pouring all her feelings into him. She didn’t even flinch at the danger. She’d have gone anywhere for him.
But now, he keeps insisting it was Miya who saved him.
‘How could it be Miya?’ Thalia thought, feeling a pang in her chest.
