I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 345

Chapter 345

What’s even more ridiculous is that he tried to stop me from investigating, and even went so far as to bribe the people who knew what happened back then. They all claimed they’d never met me… Thalia said

Thalia took a deep breath and looked at him. “How can someone be so awful?”

Sebastian frowned. “That’s really crossing the line. Thalia, if you need help, I can help you investigate.”

Thalia said. “I’ve already sent my people to look into it, but they haven’t found anything yet.”

Sebastian replied, “The more people digging, the better our chances. My people are good at keeping things under wraps, and they’ll get you answers fast without anyone knowing what we’re really after.”

Thalia’s eyes brightened a bit, but she still hesitated. “Isn’t this asking too much of you?”

“Come on, don’t be a stranger,” Sebastian sighed. “I couldn’t help you with Diana’s situation before, and I’ve felt really bad about it. Now that I finally have a chance to make it up to you, please don’t turn me down.”

Thalia picked up her glass. “Alright, I’m leaving it to you.”

Sebastian clinked his glass against hers. “I won’t let you down.”

After sharing a few drinks and letting out some of their frustrations, Thalia felt much more at ease.

When the food was served, she found herself actually hungry.

At one point, she got up to use the restroom. The restroom was located near the end of the hallway, and at the very end was a window that overlooked the tavern’s backyard.

As Thalia stepped out of the restroom, she paused by the window to catch her breath. That was when she spotted a familiar figure passing by the entrance to the courtyard.

The lights flickered, and for a split second, she caught a glimpse of Miya Coleman’s face.

What is Miya Coleman doing here?’ Thalia wondered.

Without thinking, Thalia leaned forward, trying to get a better look.

“Thalia?”

Sebastian called out from behind her, “What are you looking at?”

Thalia turned away and replied, “It’s nothing, just needed some fresh air

Sebastian noticed her cheeks were flushed and said, “You’ve had a bit too much to drink We should head out’

Thalia could feel the alcohol starting to hit her, her head spinning a little She knew she shouldn’t push her limits, so she nodded. “Alright.”

Chapter 345

Sebastian said, “I’ve already called a ride. We’ll just wait a bit.”

“Okay.” Thalia replied.

Back at their table, Thalia pulled out her phone and sent a message to Dax.

Thalia: [I think I just saw Miya Coleman. Can you take a look around nearby?]

Dax: [Got it.]

A few minutes later, Dax replied.

Dax: [Ms. Coleman, I didn’t see her.]

Thalia stared at her phone with a flicker of doubt in her eyes. ‘Maybe I was just seeing things?’ she thought.

“Thalia, the ride’s here,” Sebastian said.

Sebastian’s voice sounded just then.

“Oh, okay,” Thalia replied.

Thalia put her phone away and got up to leave the tavern with him.

But as they stepped outside, there was a small step she didn’t notice. Her head was still spinning, and her foot slipped, making her stumble.

She let out a startled cry, but Sebastian was quick to reach out and steady her, his arm around her shoulders.

“Can you walk on your own?” he asked, concern in his voice.

After a brief moment of shock, Thalia pushed him away and said, “I’m fine, thanks for helping me just now.”

She was just distracted, thinking about something, and didn’t pay attention to where she was stepping. She was still steady on her feet, not nearly drunk enough to stumble.

Sebastian opened the car door for her, and the two of them left the tavern together.

Hidden in the shadows, the bodyguard snapped a picture of what had just happened and sent it off right away. Across the ocean, the man had just stepped into his hotel when the message popped up on his phone.

As soon as he saw the photo of Thalia and Sebastian looking so close together, his face, which was usually unreadable, instantly turned cold.
