Thalia returned home and ran into Sebastian downstairs.

“Thalia, you look pale. Are you feeling unwell?” Sebastian asked with concern, still holding the dog leash.

Thalia nodded. “Yeah, I’ve caught a cold.”

Sebastian said, “I make a soup that everyone who’s sick swears by. Want some?”

“Seriously? Is it really that good?” Thalia said.

Thalia raised an eyebrow in surprise.

Sebastian curved his lips into a smile and said, “You can give it a try.”

“Sure,” Thalia replied.

Thalia was actually craving some soup.

Back when she was sick, Darion Blackburn would always find new ways to get her to eat. To tempt her appetite, he even picked up soup-making just for her.

She really loved that flavor.

She lowered her gaze, trying to push down all the messy thoughts swirling in her mind.

Sebastian said, “Go home and wait for me. I’ll be there soon.”

“Okay, thanks, Sebastian,” Thalia replied with a smile.

“Don’t be so polite with me. Go on, get inside,” Sebastian said.

Thalia pushed the door open and walked in, only to find Diana sitting on the sofa in the living room, her face etched with worry and anxiety.

“Diana,” Thalia called softly.

Thalia walked over, gave Diana a quick hug, then immediately stepped back, keeping a good five meters between them.

Diana was stunned. She hadn’t even had a chance to really look at Thalia before the girl had already put so much space between them.

“Why are you standing so far away? Come here, let me see you up close,” Diana called out.

But Thalia shook her head. “No, I’ve got a cold. I don’t want you catching it. I’m already feeling a lot better, so don’t worry. I’m heading to my room. Let’s keep some distance for a few days. I’ll come find you once I’m

back to normal.”

With that, she went straight to her room.

Diana just stared after her, speechless.

Diana could only sigh, thinking, ‘This girl…”

Alice said, “Ms. Coleman is just worried you’re not strong enough yet.”

Diana had only just gotten out of surgery. If she got sick now, it could lead to all sorts of other problems.

Diana nodded, then asked, “Did she find out about what happened last night?”

Alice shook her head. “When she first woke up, she was just spacing out. I thought she might know, but after talking to her, I realized she didn’t have a clue.”

She hesitated for a moment, then asked, “Diana, should we tell her? We weren’t the ones who took Thalia to the hospital last night.”

Diana paused in thought, then said, “No, let’s keep it to ourselves. They’ve already decided to break up, so there’s really no point in bringing this up. When the heart of a relationship is damaged, no matter what you do, it’s almost impossible to go back to how things were.”

Alice nodded. “Alright, I got it.”

Plus, after they arrived at the hospital last night, Darion Blackburn had pulled her aside and told her not to mention anything to Thalia.

She didn’t really understand why, but as the nanny, it wasn’t her place to question. She just did as she was told.

An hour later.

Sebastian knocked on Thalia’s door, holding a thermos in his hand.

Alice smiled when she saw him. “Oh, it’s you. But Ms. Coleman is resting right now.”

Sebastian handed her the thermos. “Just make sure she gets some when she wakes up, alright?”
