I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 389

Chapter 389

Thalia nodded in agreement. “Yeah, that’s right. Let’s just follow the doctor’s advice.”

Darion glanced at them, a faint, almost teasing smile flickering in his eyes. “So, how long do I have to wait before I can take a shower?”

The doctor thought for a moment. “Probably about a week.”

Darion’s wounds were healing nicely, so a week sounded about right for him to finally take a shower.

Darion shot Thalia a meaningful look and nodded. “Alright, I’ll do as the doctor says.”

Thalia couldn’t help but feel a bit puzzled. She was pretty sure Darion was just trying to make things difficult for her on purpose.

She thought, ‘This is absurd.

‘Why is he going out of his way to mess with me?

‘It’s not like I provoked him!’

Once the doctor left, she said, “I’m going out for a bit.”

“Where are you going?” Darion asked. “You’re still in danger. Don’t wander off.”

“I’m going to sound out Sebastian,” Thalia was upfront about it. That text from last night had her itching to see where Sebastian really stood.

Darion’s eyes darkened a little. ‘Sebastian, huh? That’s awfully familiar, he thought.

He looked away, his handsome features hardening as his expression grew colder.

Thalia turned and walked away, motioning for Dax to follow her.

She called Sebastian, and after three rings, he answered.

“Thalia, what’s up?” Sebastian asked.

Thalia said, “Sebastian, I’m free today. Want to go visit Bonnie together? Are you available?”

Sebastian replied, “I’m in a meeting right now. It should be over in about an hour.”

Thalia said, “I’ll come find you then.”

“Sounds good.”

Sebastian agreed, “I’ll have my assistant wait for you in the lobby.”

“No need. I’ll just wander around nearby. Just text me when you’re done,” Thalia said with a smile.

“Works for me,” Sebastian replied.

With the plan set, Thalia headed straight for the area near the Flynn Group.

It took her almost twenty minutes to drive there. Instead of wandering around, she just picked a random café and sat down.

She sat there, pondering how to test Sebastian Flynn, her mind replaying that text from last night. Everything that had happened recently was giving her a headache.

She felt like she was lost in a fog, with no idea where she was going.

Just then, her phone rang. She glanced at the screen. It was Trenton Coleman calling again.

She hung up without a second thought, and soon after, Trenton Coleman sent her a text.

Trenton Coleman: [Thalia, your mom is really sick this time. She keeps asking for you.]

Trenton Coleman: [Thalia, you’re our only daughter. We know we messed up in the past, but we’ve realized our mistakes. Please, come see your mom.]

Trenton Coleman: [Do you remember how your mom was in labor for over ten hours when you were born? After you came into the world, we doted on you, treated you like our little princess. Thalia, we adored you so much when you were little. Don’t you remember?]

Thalia stared at the messages, her expression emotionless. Not a ripple stirred in her heart.

The phone went silent, without a reply from her, Trenton Coleman likely gave up.

Thalia picked up her coffee cup, took a casual sip, and let her gaze drift to the window.
