Chapter 394
Darion looked dead serious, like if Thalia didn’t believe him, he’d never let it go and would just keep trying to explain himself.
Thalia lowered her gaze, her tone indifferent. “But you really did treat her well, and you really did ignore me because of her.”
The air grew heavy again.
Darion opened his mouth, then finally said, “I’m sorry.”
Darion was apologizing for all those times he’d hurt Thalia. Those moments still haunted him.
Especially after he found out about Miya’s parents, he realized just how badly he’d messed up. So Thalia had every right to feel hurt, upset, and blame him.
Thalia looked away from him, her tone cool. “How did you find out about what happened today?” ‘Don’t tell me he’s got someone keeping tabs on me, with Dax right there?’ Thalia thought. Darion lowered his gaze slightly. “I have my ways. If I told you, you’d just be more careful next time.”
Thalia just stared, not knowing what to say.
She just pulled out her phone and started scrolling, pointedly ignoring him.
But Darion looked up at her and continued, “Sebastian Flynn isn’t just some ordinary guy. You really shouldn’t get too close to him.”
Thalia didn’t say a word.
To Darion, it felt like she was just ignoring him.
His voice grew colder. “Thalia, are you even listening to me?”
Thalia still didn’t respond.
Darion was so furious he could barely stand it. He threw off the covers and tried to get out of bed, but the sudden movement tore open his wound, making him suck in a sharp breath.
“Ah…”
A low, muffled groan came from him.
Thalia’s lashes fluttered as she glanced over at the bed. Darion was still half out of bed, his movements stiff and awkward, his brows furrowed in pain, his face twisted with discomfort.
“That’s weird, Thalia thought.
‘He didn’t even show any pain when he got stabbed so many times, but now he looks like he’s really hurting?’

Thalia put her phone down, walked over, and grabbed Darion’s arm to help him sit up. “Do you need to go to the bathroom?” she asked.
Darion just stared at her, lost for words.
The vein on his forehead was pulsing, and his eyes were so dark as he glared at her, like he was about to snap.
‘This woman really knows how to push my buttons!’ Darion thought.
“Yeah.”
He clenched his jaw, looking like he was about to explode.
Thalia said, “You could’ve just told me! I would’ve helped you get there. Now look, your wound’s torn open again, and you’re the one suffering.”
Darion just stared at her, speechless.
‘I’m not gonna get mad. I can’t let myself get mad. She’s got no heart anyway, so what’s the point?’ Darion thought to himself.
Darion slung his uninjured arm over Thalia’s shoulder, letting his tall frame weigh down on her as they awkwardly shuffled toward the bathroom.
Thalia was really having a hard time. ‘Man, he’s heavy!’ she thought.
