“Hello, Ms. Coleman,” Zane said, his voice polite and respectful.

Thalia gazed out the window and asked softly, “Is it possible to officially document all the assets Diana transferred to me, so they can be returned someday?”

Zane looked confused. “What kind of documentation are you talking about?”

Thalia replied, “When Diana’s actual granddaughter is found, everything she gave me will go back to her.”

“Wait…” Zane was caught off guard.

“Ms. Coleman, Diana specifically named you as the beneficiary. You really don’t have to feel guilty about this,” he said.

Only now did Zane realize that Thalia wasn’t actually Diana’s biological granddaughter, and the revelation left him stunned.

Thalia smiled softly. “Let’s still have it notarized. While she’s not here, I can temporarily take care of things for Diana. But once she returns, she’ll take over everything. Please don’t mention this to Diana.”

Zane hesitated. “Ms. Coleman, this is a serious matter. I really should talk it over with Diana first.”

“No need,” Thalia insisted. “Diana’s still recovering. She can’t take any shocks right now. If she finds out, she’ll definitely get angry. You wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to her, right?”

Zane was silent for a moment before his voice came through the phone. “Alright, I get it.”

“Just get the paperwork ready, and when the time comes, I’ll go with you to the notary office,” Thalia said.

“Alright,” Zane replied.

Thalia ended the call.

Thalia let out a slow breath, feeling as if a heavy burden had finally been lifted from her shoulders.

After all, these things weren’t truly hers. It felt wrong, like she was holding onto something that didn’t belong to her, and the thought of it made her uneasy.

All she could do was pray that Diana’s real granddaughter was safe somewhere, and that someday she’d return to Diana, so their family could finally be reunited.

Thalia gazed out at the busy hospital entrance, watching the steady stream of people coming and going. She hadn’t seen any sign of Diana for ages.

She sat quietly in the car, killing time with a simple game.

Just then, her phone buzzed, Wendy’s name lighting up the screen.

“Hey, Wendy,” Thalia said softly as she picked up.

Wendy’s soft sobs came through the phone. “Thalia, sweetheart…”

Chapter 130

Hearing Wendy’s voice. Thalia immediately panicked. “What’s wrong? Is something wrong?”

“I… I…” Wendy stammered for a long moment, unable to get a single word out.

Thalia was really worried now. “Come on, just tell me already!”

Wendy suddenly burst into tears, her voice shaky as she choked out, “I slept with some random guy!”

Thalia stared in shock, barely able to process it. “What happened?”

Wendy couldn’t stop crying. She was terrified; it all happened so suddenly, and now she felt completely lost.

“Don’t cry, Wendy. Where are you? I’ll come get you,” Thalia asked anxiously.

Wendy sniffled, “I’m at South Hill Apartments.”

She had a small apartment there. Whenever her parents got too annoying, she’d escape to that place for some quiet.
