I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 44

Chapter 44 Real Bullying

Darion would never believe it.

Years ago, Thalia had pulled him from the rubble of the earthquake, saving his life. And to marry him, she’d knelt in the pouring rain, surrendered to the Blackburn family’s demands, and given up her dream of studying abroad.

Her love had been raw, unbridled, and impossible to hide. She’d gazed at him with a bright, gentle smile, soft with shyness.

Every bit of it had been real, as irrefutable proof of the depth of her love for him.

So, after their anniversary, Darion had simply brushed off her behavior as being unreasonable, because he’d missed staying by her side that very anniversary night.

But now, hearing her say over and over that she didn’t want him anymore, he was stunned beyond belief.

His grip tightened, he drew a deep breath, and his voice sank lower, heavy with frustration. “Thalia, marriage isn’t just about your wishes. It’s not a game you can start or stop whenever you please. Did you forget we said we’d stay together forever?”

Thalia looked at the man in front of her. Once, she’d loved every part of him. Now, he was already a stranger to

her.

She asked, frowning in disbelief, “Are we meant to spend our whole lives this way? Never having kids, never living a life that’s truly yours and mine, but forever revolving around Miya and Keith?”

Keith was three already, and Darion had acted the part of a father far more than any uncle ever should.

Thalia wondered, ‘And now, he actually wants to commit his whole life to this? And he wants to pull me in with him?’

She shoved him off, stumbling backward step by step, her head shaking in denial. “Never! Keith is part of your Blackburn family, not mine. If you want to devote your whole life to taking care of him, go ahead. But leave me out of it!”

“I never intended that way,” Darion said, holding back his temper. “Once Keith starts elementary school, I won’t be involved anymore.”

“No way,” Thalia replied, her tone unwavering. “I don’t even want you looking at him, not for a second!”

“Thalia!” Darion snapped impatiently.

Staring at her unyielding stance, Darion couldn’t comprehend it. “Why are you so fixated on a kid? Why can’t you let this go?”

“Yes, I am! I won’t let this go!” Thalia’s hands clenched into tight fists. “Darion, if you refuse to divorce me, your family will never have a moment of peace!”

Darion’s face turned completely cold, and the chill in his eyes seemed to close in on her. Thalia could feel the heavy pressure bearing down on her, suffocating her.

“I could never bring myself to hurt you,” he said in a low, dangerous voice. “But if it’s an outsider, I won’t hesitate to teach her a lesson.

“No!” Thalia shot back, stepping forward. “Come to me. You’ve already bullied me so many times. What’s one more? Don’t drag innocent people into this!”

“You think I’m bullying you, huh?” Darion smirked, then suddenly grabbed her and pinned her to the bed.

Thalia lay facedown in the sheets, his warm body pressing hard against her back.

She stiffened in shock. “Darion!”

“You’ll need that voice later,” Darion breathed, his tone growing heated. “I’m going to show you what real bullying is.”

Thalia’s eyes flew wide, her heart hammering wildly. She struggled to break free, but he pinned her firmly in place, leaving her completely helpless.

The sharp scent of disinfectant hung in the air. They were still in the hospital room, and anyone could walk in at any moment.

Panic surged through Thalia, her voice trembling. “Don’t do this here… Darion, please…”
