I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 463

Chapter 463

Jason looked like he had more to say, but when he saw the elderly woman resting in bed, his lips moved, and he held back, choosing not to speak after all.

Wendy shot him a glare, then leaned in close to Thalia and whispered, “How did you get the antidote? Did you really find Miya?”

Thalia nodded. “Yeah, I found her. And I poisoned her too.”

Wendy’s eyes widened in surprise, then she gave Thalia a thumbs-up. “Nice work, babe!”

She tried to keep her excitement in check and said, “You should’ve dealt with that shameless bitch ages ago. She keeps crossing the line with you, and honestly, only you could put up with her. If it were me, she wouldn’t have it so easy.”

“Word’s already out in the industry. The Coleman family has cut ties with Miya Coleman. From now on, she’ll be known as Miya Smith,” Jason said quietly from the side.

Wendy shot him a look. “Why do you always pop up everywhere? I’m talking to Thalia, why are you always sticking your nose in?”

Jason stared at her with a look you couldn’t quite read. “I’m just trying to keep you informed. You really don’t know when someone’s trying to help you.”

“I don’t need it!” Wendy was totally resistant to him. Just talking to him got on her nerves, and every time they saw each other, it always turned into a fight.

People like them just shouldn’t be around each other.

He was enough to make her sick from stress.

Jason laughed in exasperation. “You really don’t know when someone’s trying to help you!”

He got up in a huff and stormed out of the hospital room.

Wendy couldn’t help but mutter, “Finally, he’s gone.”

Thalia watched all this unfold, blinking in confusion. “You seem to have a bigger problem with him lately. Did something happen that I don’t know about?”

“It’s because I ran into him at the hospital the other day. He kept bugging me about why I was there, and when I wouldn’t tell him, he waited for me outside my building and said he’d tell my parents. Isn’t he just the worst? Why does he even care about my business?”

Wendy muttered quietly, seriously thinking Jason was acting so weird lately.

But Thalia caught something off. She hesitated, then said, “Wait, you don’t think he actually likes you, do you?”

“Like me?!” Wendy’s eyes went wide. “Babe, that’s a hell of a joke. Seriously, not funny at all!”

She’d never thought much of Jason from the very first time she met him. He was always so slick and cocky,

just your typical playboy.

Back in college, he was always swapping girlfriends like he was changing his clothes.

He was already a washed-up loser.

After Darion did all those awful things, Wendy found Jason even more unbearable.

After all, if they’re friends, they must be just as bad as each other.

It’s best to stay away from people like them.

Thalia couldn’t help but smile. “Hey, you never know, right?”

Wendy leaned on her shoulder. “Don’t freak me out, babe. He’s way out of my league.”

That topic was such a buzzkill, so she switched gears. They ended up staying in the hospital room for almost two hours before finally leaving.

By the time they left the hospital, the sky was already getting dark. Wendy made her way to her pink Beetle, but just as she was about to get in, the car parked behind her suddenly blared its horn.
