Chapter 471
Of all the things they could have done, poisoning Diana was the worst.
Thalia didn’t have many people she truly cared about, but Diana was definitely one of them.

Now, days had gone by, but Diana’s condition hadn’t gotten any better. She was still unresponsive, her eyes vacant most of the time.
Every time Thalia saw Diana like this, it broke her heart, and her resentment toward Trenton and Shyla intensified.
Wendy watched Thalia’s calm expression and asked cautiously, “Thalia, is there really nothing you want to say? They’ve been there for you since you were little, like family.”
Blood ties or not, that just doesn’t seem to matter anymore.
After all, from the moment she was born, they treated her like their own daughter.
Before Thalia turned ten, she lived like a princess. Trenton and Shyla doted on her, giving her all their love and attention.
But then, well…
Thalia said, “I was the one who orchestrated the Coleman family’s bankruptcy.”
Wendy genuinely didn’t know about this, and when Thalia said it, her eyes went wide with surprise.
Wendy was stunned, barely able to process what she’d just heard.
But she quickly shot Thalia a thumbs-up. “Way to go! Thalia, you finally learned to stand up for yourself. You’re learning how to protect yourself!”
Thalia forced a smile, but her eyes were clouded with sadness. “If I could, I’d wish Diana could go back to how she used to be.”
She was always so gentle and loving, always holding my hand. Every wrinkle on her face was a mark of endless kindness.
Not like now, just staring off into space, like she’s not really there anymore, as if her soul’s been taken away.
Wendy slipped her arm around Thalia’s shoulders, her expression turning somber. “That’s just cruel. How could they poison Diana? Whatever’s happening to them now, they totally had it coming!”
Thalia patted Wendy’s hand. “Really, I’m fine. From now on, my main focus is taking care of Diana and working on becoming a better version of myself.”
“Exactly! Once you’re strong, nobody will dare mess with you. And then you can totally kick that loser Darion out of your life!
“Go have fun with a bunch of hot male models. Any one of them would be way sweeter and more well- behaved than Darion ever was!” Wendy looked at her expectantly, her eyes sparkling as she imagined the whole scene.

“Who are you planning to kick to the curb?”
Just then, a deep, magnetic voice suddenly spoke, cool and a little icy.

Wendy’s smile stiffened. She turned to Thalia and said, “I’ve got something to do, so I’m heading out. Catch you later.”
“Alright, be careful on your way,” Thalia replied.

Thalia couldn’t help but laugh as she watched Wendy bolt out of there, like a mouse spotting a cat.
Darion raised an eyebrow. “Were you two gossiping about me?”
Thalia shot him a look. “No, we were just talking about what’s been going on with the Coleman family lately.”
Darion walked over, glanced at Diana, who was still asleep, and asked in a low voice, “Have you talked to Diana about moving back to Rosewood Manor?”
Thalia’s brows furrowed, a hint of resistance in her expression.
But Darion pressed, “Rosewood Manor is safe, and there’s plenty of space. Diana can get some fresh air outside. Living at Maplewood Estate is no different from being locked up in a prison, right?”
