I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 52

Chapter 52 Darion Defends Thalia

Jadiel noticed things were getting tense and politely ushered all the guests out.

When Sandra received the news, she was so startled she almost collapsed.

She was wheeled over hurriedly. “How is my great-grandson?”

Jadiel hurried to reassure her, “He’s been sent to the hospital, Madam Blackburn. Someone caught him before he fell. He will be alright.”

Sandra’s hand shook as she pointed furiously at Thalia. “You vicious woman!”

Darion strode inside at that moment. He already knew what had happened, and seeing everyone fix Thalia with cold, condemning stares, he stepped straight in front of her.

“Who said she saw my wife kick him?” Darion demanded.

His icy, piercing gaze swept across the room, and the atmosphere instantly turned heavy and suffocating.

The maid who’d spoken earlier stepped forward, her voice trembling. “I… I was right under the stairs just now. I think I saw Mrs. Thalia Blackburn kick Mr. Keith…”

“You Think?” Darion’s brows tightened sharply. His imposing presence filled the entire room, and the air around the maid turned frigid and oppressive. “You aren’t even certain, yet you dare draw the conclusion?”

The maid trembled in fear, stammering, “I… I…”

But Sandra snapped, “If it wasn’t her, then who? She’s been causing nothing but trouble recently. Darion, why are you still protecting her?”

Darion’s face was cold and stern. “Because I know her. She would never hurt a child.”

Miya sobbed uncontrollably. “Darion, but she’s been misunderstanding us.”

Darion’s sharp gaze fixed on her. “Your son is injured. Why aren’t you with him?”

Miya froze, utterly shocked. She had never imagined he would say that.

She wondered, ‘I thought Keith meant everything to him. Why isn’t he taking my side this time?’

Shyla quickly grabbed her arm. “Miya, let’s go to the hospital. We should be with Keith.”

Miya gritted her teeth and followed, with no other choice.

Darion turned to Trenton, his eyes turning even darker. “Trenton, Thalia is your daughter. Don’t you know her character? She rescues stray animals and donates millions to charity every year. Do you honestly believe she would hurt a three-year-old child?”

Trenton’s face flushed with embarrassment at being publicly challenged. He scowled and snapped, “She’s always hated Miya. Every time you get close to Miya, she flies into a jealous rage. Is there anything she wouldn’t do?”

Darion’s gaze was icy. “You’re just believing one person’s story and accusing Thalia without evidence? That’s

unfair.”

Trenton’s face grew even darker. “If it wasn’t her, then who else could it have been?”

Everyone turned to look at Darion, who still stood firmly in front of Thalia, shielding her from every glare of contempt and hostility.

“There are cameras in this house. Just check the footage, and we’ll know,” Darion said.

He glanced at Jadiel, who immediately left to handle it.

“It was me,” Thalia admitted. Her sudden confession shattered the relaxing atmosphere.

Darion spun around, his eyes wide with disbelief. “Thalia, don’t talk nonsense.”

Thalia’s heart felt torn to pieces. A clear handprint burned on her cheek, and her eyes glistened with tears. She looked at Darion, who was shielding her, and felt utterly miserable.
