Darion stood off to the side, watching Jason pace nervously back and forth. Jason kept checking his watch and muttered. ‘Darion, it’s been days already. Why haven’t we heard a single thing about him?”

Darion replied. “If he wants to stay hidden, he’s got plenty of ways to do it. Otherwise, how else could he have survived this long?”

Quinn had made a ton of enemies overseas. If he was still alive, he must have his own methods for survival.

Jason frowned. “But with no news about him, I’m on edge. I’m honestly scared he’ll pop up out of nowhere and snatch her away. After all the trouble I went through to marry her, I can’t lose her now.”

Darion: “Hmm?”

Darion listened, raising an eyebrow. “Did you have your own motives when planning this wedding?”

Jason was at a loss for words.

He froze for a second, then said, “Honestly, I won’t hide it from you. I did it on purpose. I never thought Quinn would show up. let alone get involved with her. I just didn’t have any other options.””

He looked at Darion, his face unusually serious. “Darion, please don’t tell Thalia. I want to wait a bit before I let Wendy know how I really feel about her.”

Darion’s piercing dark eyes locked onto him, and he nodded. “Alright.”

Jason was bold enough to risk it all for the woman he loved, even if it meant making an enemy out of Quinn.

Darion said, his tone serious, “Be ready for the worst. Quinn’s a madman. You never know what he’ll pull.”

Jason forced a smile. “When I first came up with this plan, I knew what I was getting into. I’m not giving up, no matter what’

Darion reached out and patted him on the shoulder.

The ceremony was about to begin, and all the guests were already seated. Jason checked the time, took a few deep breaths. and said, “Let’s get started. Darion, go ahead and take your seat.”
