Chapter 564
“You won’t hurt her, but someone else will, Danon said.
As he spoke, Darion glanced at Verena, who looked even paler and more uncomfortable.
Hearing this, Verena’s face turned even worse
Sebastian’s tone was unusually serious. I swear, she won’t ever hurt Thalia again. I’ll keep her in line

‘You can’t see into someone’s heart. How can you be so sure she won’t change her mind? Darion pressed, his gaze icy as he fixed Verena with a chilling stare.
Verena’s face turned even paler
Sebastian’s brows furrowed Darion was making it obvious he had no intention of letting him talk to Thalia alone
All those so-called reasons were just excuses. At the end of the day, it was Darion’s possessiveness that was really at play.
Sebastian looked at Thalia, wanting her to decide.
If Thalia was the one to choose, Darion should have no reason to object
Even so, Sebastian still wasn’t sure what kind of relationship they really had
Darion kept up his calm front, but out of the corner of his eye, he kept sneaking glances at Thalia.
He’d already made his refusal clear.
What will she do now?’ Darion wondered.
Thalia thought everything would be over once things were settled, but she never imagined she’d still get caught up in all this.
She looked over at Sebastian. His gaze was soft and apologetic, and it seemed like he wanted to say something, but stopped himself.
She hesitated for a few seconds, then nodded. “Okay.”
Sebastian’s frown relaxed a bit. He gave Darion a quick, almost imperceptible glance, then turned to Thalia. “Come on, let’s head downstairs for a stroll and chat along the way.”
“Okay.” Thalia replied.
The two of them left the room, one after the other.
Darion’s expression barely changed, but the chill around him only deepened.
Verena gave a mocking laugh.
She looked at him and said. “You give her everything, but you mean nothing to her. She’s ice-cold, totally indifferent No matter how good you are to her. it’ll never matter.”
Danon gave her a cold, dismissive glance, didn’t say a single word, and walked off without looking back.
‘Danion Verena called after him

ppp.
She watched his retreating figure, calling his name.
But Darion never even paused. He had zero interest in anything Verena wanted to say

Tears streamed down Verena’s face. Only now did she realize, she’d been trying so hard to get his attention, but he never even spared her a glance.
But why? Why does it have to be this way? Verena thought, feeling like she just couldn’t accept it.
That bitch Thalia, she’s got no talent, no warmth, and now she’s causing drama with Danon
I’m just as good as her!
I won’t give up!
Darion still didn’t really know her, hadn’t realized how great she was She was determined to keep fighting, to make herself seen by him, and show him she was three thousand times better than that bitch Thalia.
The weather was perfect today Sunlight poured down, the sky was a clear blue, and fluffy clouds drifted lazily overhead. A gentle breeze swept over them, chasing away some of the summer heat.
I’m sorry, Sebastian said, his tone carrying a hint of helplessness
“I honestly had no clue about any of this I made you anxious for so long, and that’s my fault.”
Thalia dropped her eyes for a moment. Since it wasn’t you, there’s no need for you to apologize.”
She paused, then said. “But honestly, I can’t really get over it. Even if you didn’t do it, your sister did. Every time we get close, she gets upset. So, Sebastian, maybe it’s better if we don’t talk much anymore.”
This whole situation made Thalia realize, Verena was basically a ticking time bomb.
