Jason had forgotten his phone and came back to grab it. But when he peeked in, he saw Darion and Thalia so wrapped up in each other, kissing and unable to pull apart. His face stiffened, and he quickly ducked back out.

“What’s going on?” Dax asked, looking confused as Jason suddenly returned.

Dax’s attention shifted fast, and he shared everything he knew with Jason, who was all ears and soaking it all up.

By the time Darion and Thalia came out of the room, they saw Jason and Dax already practicing in the open area of the garden.

Thalia stood there for a while, but since she couldn’t make sense of what they were doing, she decided to give up.

They got in the car and headed straight back to Rosewood Manor.

But when they walked into the living room, they spotted an unexpected face sitting on the couch.

She knew Diana wanted to see Shyla, but every time she hesitated and never actually made the call.
