Chapter 577
Bonnie’s nose was all red from crying as she nodded. “Got it.”

Thalia got up and left Bonnie’s room. As soon as she stepped out, just thinking about having to reach out to Sebastian made her groan inwardly.
She’d been keeping her distance from him, and now she suddenly had to contact him again. She felt like she was acting so hot and cold with him.
With a sigh, she headed upstairs to Diana’s room first.
“Diana, Bonnie’s fine. She just got back a little late. I let her go to her room to rest. I’ll come keep you company in the morning,” Thalia said.
Diana had been worried about her all this time, but when she heard that, she nodded, her whole face visibly relaxing.
“Alright, you should get some rest too,” Diana said.
“Okay,” Thalia replied.
Thalia didn’t head straight back to her room. Instead, she spent an hour practicing her shooting, then went to check on Keith.
Keith’s face was pale, and he looked completely worn out. He was sitting on his bed, clutching an ugly doll, staring blankly into space.
Even when Thalia walked right up to him, he didn’t react at all.
Thalia gently called, “Keith.”
He seemed to wake from a trance, blinking his big eyes as he looked up at her.
“Tally,” Keith said softly.
Thalia replied softly, “Can’t sleep?”
Keith shook his head, clutching his doll tighter, a hint of unease in his voice.”I had a nightmare. A monster ate my leg…”
Thalia’s heart twisted with sadness at his words.
She gazed at the little boy in front of her, barely four years old, and from now on, he’d have to rely on a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
Half of his life had already been taken from him.
Her heart ached for him. She kicked off her shoes, leaned against him, and picked up a storybook from the nightstand. “Want to hear a story?”
Keith looked surprised. “Tally. you’re going to tell me a story?”
“Yeah, do you want to hear one?” Thalia gazed at him
Keith nodded eagerly. “Yes.”

His eyes sparkled as he looked up at her.
Thalia said. “Why don’t you he down? It’s easier to listen to stories that way. Sitting up gets tiring.”
This time, Keith nodded sweetly.
Thalia helped him settle down, tucked him in, and then opened the storybook.
Thalia was a natural when it came to voice acting. Her talent for bringing stories to life was unmatched.

As she spun the tale. Keith felt like he was whisked away right into the heart of the fairy tale. Little by little, he got lost in the magic, and for a while, all his pain and worries faded into the background.
After telling a few fairy tales, Thalia’s voice faded to a gentle whisper. She glanced at Keith and saw his eyes closed, his breathing deep and even.
She set the storybook aside, tucked him in, and just as she was about to slip off the bed, she noticed his little brows suddenly furrow.
Thalia paused, staying by his side.
