Darion felt a sharp ache in his chest, his fingertips trembling. He knew exactly why she was feeling this way. It was all because of him.
Even though so much time had passed, the pain lingered, the scars remained, and someday, out of nowhere, the hurt would resurface, blindsiding him and forcing him to relive those heartbreaking memories.
His fingers slowly loosened, and the emptiness in his palm was immediate. She went upstairs without even glancing back.
Darion’s hand dropped to his side, his fingers slowly clenching into a fist, deliberate and tense.
He lowered his eyes, shrouded in loneliness and sorrow, looking just like an abandoned puppy.
Bonnie saw it all, and the pain hit her out of nowhere. She wished she could go over and comfort him, maybe even give him a hug.
But she knew she had no right to.

She’d always done a good job keeping her feelings under wraps.

Chapter 580
“Hey, Thalia, Sebastian said.
Seeing her name on the screen, he was caught off guard, his tone perked up right away.
Thalia’s clear eyes sparkled briefly as she said, “Sebastian, are you free tonight? I’d like to treat you to dinner.
Sebastian sounded even more surprised. “Thalia… are you serious?”
“Yeah. Thalia replied. “Are you free?”
Thalia thought she was being a bit bold, and honestly, she really wanted to hang up right then.
“Of course, I’m free,” Sebastian replied with a smile.
“That’s perfect, actually. I’ve got a lot I want to talk to you about. Let’s catch up when we meet.”
“Alright, I’ll send you the location,” Thalia said quickly, then hung up before she could change her mind.
She was afraid that if she waited even a few more seconds, she’d lose her nerve.
She let out a long breath, then headed out to find Bonnie.
Right now, Bonnie was in Diana’s room.
