She kept asking Dax to look into Wendy’s whereabouts, but deep down, she couldn’t bring herself to fully trust Darion.

Thalia couldn’t shake the feeling that Darion was keeping something from her.

But for now, since they were partners, it wasn’t her place to bring it up.

There was a brief silence on the other end before Sebastian spoke again. “But I came here for you. If I’d known you weren’t coming, I wouldn’t have come either.”
