Chapter 593
In the car, Thalia handed Bonnie a bottle of water, then smoothed her hair and straightened her dress.
“Have some water and try to calm down.” Thalia said softly.

Bonnie nodded, unscrewed the cap, and took a sip. She wiped away her tears, her eyes still red as she looked at Thalia “Thalia, that’s my brother, Glenn Curtis.”
Thalia raised an eyebrow and let out a chuckle. “That name… Looks like your parents had big expectations for him.”
Bonnie nodded. “It was my grandparents. He was the only boy in the family, so they treated him like a treasure. Whatever he wanted, he got. But honestly, he never lived up to their expectations. He never made the family proud.”
Glenn became a gambling addict. He burned through all our savings, piled up a mountain of debt, and then just disappeared. Now he’s broke, and the only reason he came back is because he found someone willing to buy me off to pay his debts.
Bonnie gripped the water bottle tightly. “Thalia, I’ve decided to quit. I can’t stay here anymore. I’m only going to bring you trouble.”
Thalia hadn’t expected Bonnie to say that, but she felt both relieved and proud. Bonnie really was such a kind and mature girl.
“But what about Diana? She depends on you so much these days,” Thalia asked softly.
Bonnie bit her lip. “Honestly, I’m just the help here. You’re home every day now, you can be there for Diana. I really can’t stay any longer.
“You have no idea what he’s capable of. He’s a real piece of work. He’ll stoop to anything to get his way. I don’t want someone like him bringing chaos into your life.”
Besides, Diana had already seen right through her secret feelings.
If Bonnie stayed any longer, more people would probably figure it out too, and she’d never be able to look Thalia in the eye again.
Thalia had always treated her so well, but Bonnie had developed feelings for Thalia’s husband.
She couldn’t handle that situation, so she had to leave now.
Bonnie’s eyes grew even redder, and tears spilled down her cheeks. “Thalia, you’ve always treated me so well. I hate to leave you, but I can’t let myself cause you any trouble.”
Thalia wrapped her arms around Bonnie and sighed softly. “Alright, I’ll go along with what you want Just make sure you stay away from him and take care of yourself.”
“I will, Bonnie said, nodding as she hugged Thalia back.
Back at Rosewood Manor, Bonnie went to see Diana and told her she was leaving.
Diana was sipping her tea. She sighed gently and said, “You’re still so young. You should go back to school and really get to know the world.”
“I will,” Bonnie said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Chapter 593
She couldn’t bring herself to meet Diana’s eyes.
Diana took out an envelope and handed it to her. “I’ve really enjoyed having you around these days, I can see you’re a pure hearted girl. Take this. It’s my way of saying thanks. Don’t refuse; when an elder gives you something, you shouldn’t say no
She almost refused, but held the words back.
She took the envelope, sniffled, and said, “Thank you, Diana. I’ll miss you.”
