I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 618

Chapter 618

The change happened so suddenly.

Darion, who was walking over, suddenly stopped in his tracks. In one swift motion, he raised his gun and aimed it at the man holding Thalia.

But the man was quicker. He instantly hid behind Thalia, using her as a shield.

Dax shouted, “Ms. Coleman!” as he hurried over, clutching his injured arm.

Rage flashed in Dax’s eyes as he witnessed the scene, his face twisting with fury.

The other bodyguards were just as stunned and grim, quickly raising their guns and aiming at the man holding Thalia.

The dust and smoke that had filled the air slowly settled, and the sound of a nearby river could be heard in the distance

Thalia’s heart almost froze in her chest.

She could feel the man’s large hand clamped around her neck, so strong it felt like he could crush her throat at any second.

The barrel of the gun pressed against her temple was still warm. One pull of the trigger, and she’d be dead on the spot

All the noise and chaos seemed to drift away around her.

The jungle fell into an eerie silence.

She slowly closed her eyes. ‘Has it really come to this?

‘Am I really going to die here?’ she wondered.

She opened her eyes again and saw Darion, his gaze fixed on her with fierce determination.

His face was unusually pale, and his almond-shaped eyes glinted with an icy intensity as he stared at the scene.

“Let her go. Whatever you want, I’ll give it to you,” Darion said, his voice cold but steady, making himself vulnerable right from the start.

He deliberately put himself at a disadvantage, showing he was willing to do anything for Thalia’s safety.

With Thalia in this man’s grasp, as long as he was willing to negotiate, anything was on the table.

The scariest thing was if he didn’t want anything at all, Darion thought, his heart sinking.

In that moment, Thalia’s eyes stung with unshed tears. Memories of all the years they’d spent together suddenly flooded her mind.

Back in college, when their love was still innocent and new, she’d been overjoyed when Darion accepted her confession. And then, out of nowhere, he’d blurted out that he wanted to be with her forever.

She’d been so surprised, her face burning red. ‘Is he for real?’ she’d thought. ‘Making a promise like that so soon?

A promise of forever, right from the start?’ she wondered, still a little skeptical.

She still remembered those shy, uncertain days when they first started seeing each other, and their very first kiss

Chapter his

It was pouring that day They’d just walked out of the library together, while everyone else was sprinting for their dorins The two of them squeezed under one umbrella, rain tapping above them, wrapped in their own little bubble, cut off from the world outside

She glanced at his handsome profile, and suddenly, the urge to kiss him just hit her.

Thalia was never one to hold back when she wanted something

She just went for it and planted a kiss on him.

She just planted a kiss on his face.

Darion, with his arm around her shoulders, suddenly stopped walking.

He glanced at her, raising his eyebrow in a teasing way. “Sneaking a kiss, huh?”

Thalia’s cheeks turned red, her eyes twinkling. “Nope, you’re just imagining things.”

He chuckled, moved closer, and kissed her back. One kiss wasn’t enough. He couldn’t help himself and kissed her again.

“Well, guess I was just imagining things. But now I really want to kiss you,” he said with a playful grin.

She blushed so hard she could barely meet his eyes.

Everything in front of her seemed to blur, like something was fogging up her eyes, and she couldn’t tell what it was.
