Chapter 64

That afternoon. Thalia and Wendy came back from shopping and saw Darion standing outside their door.
He was leaning against the wall, his suit worn carelessly, no tie, and the top two buttons of his white shirt undone, giving him a slightly disheveled, unruly vibe.
You scumbag, what are you doing here?” Wendy spotted him and instantly cursed, not giving him a second to react.
Darion didn’t even bother looking at Wendy; his gaze locked right on Thalia behind her.
“Come with me to the hospital,” he said.
Thalia gave a mocking smirk. “What, you want me to get on my knees and apologize to your precious Keith?”
At the sight of Darion, her entire body tensed, her hackles rising. One wrong move from him, and she’d snap.
Darion’s brows furrowed with determination as he walked over and grabbed her hand. “It’s not you who needs to kneel and apologize. Someone else will be kneeling to apologize to you.”
He pressed the elevator button, and since it was already there, the doors popped open almost instantly.
Thalia tried to pull her hand away, but he just gripped her tighter, pulling her along into the elevator.
Wendy followed them in. Darion shot her a frosty look. “What’s it got to do with you? Get lost.”
But Wendy lifted her chin, full of attitude. “I wanna see you make someone kneel and apologize to Thalia. If you can’t pull it off, you’re nothing but a loser.”
She flashed her pinky at him. Her contempt couldn’t have been more obvious.
Darion couldn’t be bothered with her. He just kept a firm grip on Thalia’s hand, not letting go for a second.
Thalia was still struggling, so he glanced back at her. “Didn’t you agree?”
Thalia froze, her face darkening. Her eyes shimmered with even more sarcasm. “Yeah, if you hadn’t reminded me, I would’ve forgotten,” she said.
She’d agreed to Helen’s request, so she had to keep up the act for appearances. But looking at him, Thalia couldn’t help but wonder if he already knew what Helen had in mind.
How does he even have the nerve to keep bothering me?’ Thalia thought, her anger simmering. ‘Is he addicted to pushing me around or what?
Darion couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. After he said that, Thalia’s expression turned even colder.
Why? Didn’t she say she wouldn’t divorce me?’ Darion wondered, still confused.
To Darion, they were already back together. His brows furrowed as he wanted to say something, but with someone else around, he kept quiet.
The heavy atmosphere lingered all the way to the hospital.
As soon as they stepped into the hospital room, they saw a maid standing there, looking pale and terrified. And it wasn’t just the maid-Trenton and Shyla were both present.

Trenton spoke up in a deep, serious tone, “Darion, what’s with all the drama? Why did you call us all here?
Darion slammed the tablet onto the bed with a sharp smack. Take a look,” he said. “These are what the kids told me.
Trenton’s face grew even darker. “What’s with the attitude?”
Darion ignored him and turned to the maid, jerking his chin up. “Go on, it’s your turn.”
